Thing has had trouble with Wolverine quite a bit.  Fighting both of his kids should be too much for him.

ICT / Re: How hungry should Galactus be...to lose against Superman?
« on: January 17, 2019, 04:26:21 PM »
So I decided to look into things since you are avoiding the debate.

There's an alternate reality version of Surfer who had the Quantum Bands and other items of power.  He hurt Galactus but he was obviously souped up.  The only other example are some scans of Galactus apparently being reborn as reality reset itself.  surfer fired a blast that made Galactus cry out in pain but he was fully reborn in the next page. Considering the circumstances, that seems to be extraneous circumstances.  If anyone has more details, please share.

I found an example of Quasar deflecting an eye-beam from Galactus but that is not nearly the same thing.

Red Hulk went after Galactus while riding Surfer's board and wielding Terrax's axe.  Galactus eye blasted him out of the sky moments later, iirc.  He hurt The Watcher if that's what you're thinking of.

I couldn't find anything about BRB hurting Galactus.  Nor Juggernaut (although you didn't seem sure on that one yourself).  I'm not sure what you mean by "tearing apart Doomsday" or Disciple.

Also, you do not knoczw what a strawman is.

This conversation is utterly beyond you in every respect.

You cant even comprehend my very first post in this thread.

Everything you are arguing is based on a strawman, and even this post is you talking about not comprehending what is being stated.

Your confusion is entertaining though. Amuse me some more.

 So you got nothing.  Figures.

You have to understand, he has deeply held beliefs that mean everything to him but no way to articulate them that doesn't make him look foolish.  Any good faith participant in this discussion would actually engage in it, but he has neither the skill to adequately converse nor the fortitude to weather rebuttals.

Deflection, oblique reference, and juvenile insults are all he has.  Which, as you correctly note, is nothing at all.

He saw a debate between much more clever people once where one participant accused the other of using a Strawman Argument, and now it's ALL HE KNOWS HOW TO DO, though he lacks the context to do so correctly.

Debate / Re: Tulsi Gabbard is running for President

So your counter is that it wasn't fully serious? And your counter in that thread is that you were exaggerating to make a joke ("saying something in acomical way")?

Okay!

Because guess what.

Tulsi Gabbard is a crisis actor confirmed.

I wasn't being fully serious.

I was exaggerating to make a joke ("saying something in a comical way").

So again:

Calm down.

Oh, you got me. It was about white men acting, not writing comics.

Maybe it's because I'm also used to you occasionally going all-out MRA and saying nonsense shit like "THEY ARE TRYING TO STOP WHITE MEN FROM WRITING COMICS OMG!" in the General Comics forum. You're the person who, when I saw the new Gillette ad about Be The Best Man or whatever it is, I honestly thought "AP probably thinks this is oppressive". Not even a joke. I thought that.

But this here was just a joke about you posting a YouTube video, a la Letters, who we always mocked for thinking YouTube was some glorious source of great information. Calm down. I was just poking fun at the YouTube of it all.

Well Ned is accurate enough for Ganke, who used "Ned" as an alias in USM.

MJ is way off, obviously.

I didn't think Liz was terribly inaccurate. She was fine. Liz as a high school girl was pretty much a blank slate of "popular pretty girl".

In mysterio’s First appearance he tricked everyone thinking he was a hero until spider-man uncovered the truth

Very likely same thing for the movie

I don't know anything about Mysterio but this sounds like the bogus Mandarin reveal in IM3 all over again.

The trailer was pretty underwhelming...battling huge cgi creatures has really lost its appeal.

I don't expect the monsters to take up much time or plot in the movie itself. I think they are going to be a brief means to the Mysterio story end.

Danny has a lot more going than punching. So he won't jump right in and start making dupes out of him.

But Jamie isn't reliant on others hitting him to make them and can fairly quickly overwhelm Danny.

Probably Jamie, 7/10

I watched it on Netflix through Roku on the TV.

Eh, Balor will have a great match with Brock a la Styles or Bryan, but he ain't winning. A good showing could do him well either way going forward, but Brock ain't dropping that title until Roman comes back.

Brock reportedly really wants to work with Balor, so that is promising in regards to it being a good match.

I'm hoping Brock/Balor is the third match on the card and Brock wins. Then Balor enters the Rumble at #29... as The Demon. Wins. Demon Balor vs Brock at 'Mania.

Aquaman didn't control water like Mera did. There being a lot of water doesn't seem relevant. He could make that shield thing, but it seems like Venom should be able to get behind/around it.

I just can't believe this is happening over the fucking wall, which is objectively the dumbest idea any President has ever had.
