True, but noting the hypocrisy of SJWs who usually rail against anything with even the slightest hint of discrimination isn't exactly "dying on a hill."  ;)

Maybe. I just can't picture being so petty or ignorant as to think this idea even needs to be addressed other than to maybe say "what a neat gimmick for a showing preview".

And yeah... the gender identity bitching is just Neanderthal-ic beyond that. Like it's hard to believe the people who brought that up are smart enough to breathe oxygen day in and day out. I mean, Jesus. Jelly is on their side. That should tell them something.

Current TV Shows / Re: Mystery Science Theater 3000 The Return

I have gotten through the first five episodes, and... it's okay. It's not bad, but it really is nowhere near as good as the original series. Most episodes of the original, I would be crying from laughing so much. This series has one or two good laughs per episode, but aside from that, it's a lot of constant babbling over the flick.

If the old MST3K was an A+ (and it was), I give this a C+ so far.

General Comic Discussion / Re: How do you discover new indie books?

My buddies seem to find a lot of indie stuff and tell me about them. I don't search out a lot on my own.

I tip more if they don't try to chit chat me. Just let me sit there and think about what I have done

I'm surprised how many bitches are whining about a fucking ladies night at a movie theater. What a fucking him to die on.

Okay, I am glad it's not just me who thought this thread got real retarded real fast.

No he just takes forever. I think it is level 50 or 55 for Salamence.

Sun/Moon is the first Pokémon generation I have not played. My 3DS has a cracked bottom screeen, and I have not felt like buying a new one.

Piledriver, obviously.

Abdominal stretch is a thing of the past, seemingly.

ICT / Re: Hal Jordan and Firestorm vs Dr. Strange and Monica

I don't disagree. The determining factor for me here is that too many iterations of Firestorm that I have read (and I'm no pro on the character, but I've read pieces here-and-there) portray him as not supremely competent. And Jordan, Strange, and Rambeau all have competency in spades. So I give it to the team with both members unlikely to shit the bed.

Sentient storm trapped in the hammer is a big issue with me

That is a SUPER-hard-to-overlook level of idiocy. I'm surprised that wasn't laughed out of the pitch room.

I wish the show had the balls to go a whole season with Wally as The Flash and Barry out of action, but I've watched enough Supernatural to know that CW's M.O. is to restore the status quo in the season premiere.

FF 11/10, unless the Defenders get prep.

I'm likely BY FAR the least anti-SJW person on this board, and even I accept that as long as this flick is passingly mediocre, it will get glowing reviews because of what it is.

Agree - its the first female solo superhero film (of the modern era) and so theres going to be that distorting effect in that a lot off critics are going to want it to be good. Which it may well be but i hate when i'm reading a review and trying to factor that sort of thing into the calculation of whether it is in fact any good or not. The idea that Gadot is amazing i find rather difficult to believe given her performance in BvS but i guess i'm open minded.
Except she was the best thing in BvS!

Which says a LOT more about BvS than it does about her.

It's also inaccurate.

Affleck was the best thing in BvS.

I somewhat fear this as well.

I don't know that I FEAR it... I just know that society WANTS this movie to succeed because it's the first big budget female driven Marvel/DC flick. As long as it isn't 2 hours of Diana flicking boogers, it's going to be heralded as a cinematic glory.

And that's fine. I have no interest in it because I don't care for WW. But I do like DC enough, and I want their DCEU to turn the ship around and start pumping out gems.
