In addition to what MTL said, I've always thought it was a way to make some room for writers to focus on different characters.

Definitely Kirk. Is this one even close? It's hard to imagine a point in either character's timeline where this would be a good fight. Either Luke is a wormy little kid who Kirk at every point in his character's arc would destroy, or he's a trained uber-Jedi with Deus Ex Machina level powers.

Maybe Epi 5 Luke pre-Yoda.

EDIT: Previously jumped the gun and quoted some quick, sloppy conjecture naming the wrong suspect.

Stephen Paddock has been named the suspect and is dead. Still no idea as to the motive, but at least 50 dead and 200+ injured.

Sorry, I was just making a stupid Davos/Stannis joke - where Stannis corrected Davos's use of "less" with "fewer" and then Davos did the same to Jon. Yeah, I'm that lame.

But as for the last season having longer episodes, I've heard that too. I didn't think that was a rumor. I thought it was set already.

That's my concern as there is a lot of loose ends still. Though rumor is  less episodes, but they will be longer. Far as I know that's not comfirmed

Guy, a piece of fucking fan art doesn't make the relationship more plausible
Sandor was never described as handsome in book

Yeah, his burns were described as being slick black and oozing red. His burns are much worse in the book. Think less Gerard Butler as Phantom and more Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face.

Basically I can suspend my belief on Dragons and fast travel but not how mirrors work.

I get that. But mirrors can reflect another reflection.  If it was an image added in purposely, why would the "pupil" change shape as Jon's hand moves?

That makes no sense since the hand is on the other side of the hilt.

Just watch the video. The appearance of the dark splotch in the eyes appears exactly as Jon's hand slaps down. The splotch even kind of slides as Jon's hand slides. Maybe it's a reflection off the camera lens which is reflecting Jon's hand. And if you slow it down, it's apparent that the splotch isn't a consistent shape.

It was a visual cue that Jon made it. Maybe another rez?

Exactly this. Just from the pic it didn't look like much to me. Rewatching it, it seemed intentional. I think the idea some people were slinging around that the friggin sword was warged or possessed is a bit silly.

Actually no. I watched it again, and it really just looks like the reflection of Jon's hand.

Did anyone catch Longclaw's eyes opening when Jon came up out of the lake?

At first I was wondering if Arya's scene with Sansa was too over-the-top, and I couldn't figure out why she gave Sansa the dagger. But given the context of the conversation, I think she was giving her the dagger as an answer to one of Sansa's questions: What was I supposed to do? The dagger represents two things you can do if someone tries to force you to do something against your will - fight them or kill yourself.

I also liked that after Littlefinger basically told Sansa to use Brienne in case Arya came after her, Sansa immediately sent Brienne away. That could mean she wouldn't want Brienne caught up in her issues with Arya and wouldn't want Brienne being manipulated by LF, or it could mean she wanted to move against Arya and didn't want Brienne interfering. Either way, it's an interesting move by Sansa. That's not a sentence often spoken.

Affogato, vanilla ice cream with espresso on top.

I don't like coffee or espresso, and even I think Affogato is the shit.

Banana Cream Pie
Bananas Foster
Banana Split

Yep, bit of a phallic theme there. Don't care. Bananas are dessert master race.

I'm completely lost... I mean I get Columbus is a legit piece of shit but why do they hate Teddy?

He was for the subjugation of tribal people. He didn't like it at all, actually found it barbaric, but his view was that a better life was given to them once they were conquered. It's a sticky POV morally, to be sure. It's NOTHING compared to Columbus.

I'm a big fan of Carrie.

I had a collection of his Robert Bachman stuff which I liked even if those books are his lesser known stuff besides Running Man.

Do you have Rage? If so, was it good? I think that might be the only Bachman novel I haven't read.

Oh, and this has nothing to do with anything really, but I thought it kind of captures the way D&D and in some cases Martin have treated some of the minor story lines.
