Does Nu-Robocop have that function though? That's the one we're using in this thread.

Ah, I read and responded before my tired old system loaded the pics.  ....Although, I can't see such a useful, real world (they have it for sniper scopes) application being left out.

Robocop had some form of IR. It was seen in the original movie when he used it to scan a perp holding a female hostage in front of him.
He scanned the heat sig at the placement of their legs and then shot thru her dress between her legs and blasted him in the crotch.

He’d just play music for Cerberus

Or he could just sing. Did you see the episode of JL where we were introduced to Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy's talented pipes as Bats payed off a magical debt by performing the jazz standard "Am I Blue?".

Music, Movies, Tv and Books / Re: what movie are you watching?

Technically not a movie, but the mini-series of Comanche Moon is on for background sound. I've seen it a number of times but I still look up when Val Kilmer or Wes Studi come on.

Pacific Rim
A lot of Team-Spot movies, like Mighty Ducks. Also, a lot of Westerns - Magnificent Seven, the Spaghetti Western Trilogy, the Outlaw Josey Wales, White Buffalo, etc...

The original Mag 7 had a small romance between the kid and the village girl he left the guys to stay with at the end of the movie.  Josey fell in love with the girl played by Sondra Locke.
Neither were grand romances, but it all depends on where you want to draw the line.

The X-Men are a lot more powerful on paper, but every member of the Squad is a stone cold killer. The real powerhouses like Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey would catch sniper shots to the head before Wolverine knew what was happening.

Who goes around saying one of there greatest assets is mental stability?  You tell me that I immediately think the opposite.

That's one of those tropes that's better left to books and movies.
While something could be said for a warrior or General who's battle stratagems have "a touch of bold madness".  Yeah, I want the President of my country to be mentally stable.
   Just call me crazy.

    Smarter than either of them...
  Most houseplants.
  The average bear.
The kid in the "ding, fries are done" video.
Someone else can keep going, I'm too depressed.

General Comic Discussion / Re: Amalgam Comics

Back then when the EIC's of Marvel & DC decided on this they just had to run it past corporate bosses who frankly didn't pay much attention to the internal goings on in their "funny book" division.
Now that there are potential billion (let me say that again...Billion) dollar movies attached to every character, and adding the folks at Disney into the mix it may be pretty low on the list for making deals. Maybe after everything is said and done and all the contracts signed over who owns what in the X-Men/Mutant stable of characters they might want to try something new with joint ownership.
I think I've quoted Robert Heinlein here before..." Whenever you ask why "they" do such and such, the answer is always money."

I don't need any gear, so I'll take the Purple Man's mental powers, Mystique's shape changing and if there's any slots left over I'll grab Wolverine's healing factor so I can rule the world from behind the scenes forever.
   Kinda creepy huh.

ICT / Re: Alara Kitan vs Buffy

Buffy is used to fighting opponents who are stronger than she is and still wins because she's willing to die rather than lose.  Alara is just strong for the average gravity level. No particular training we've seen or drive to either protect or simply survive.

Either world I'll take the Deathstroke/Midnighter combo.
I also always thought that the Midnighter's power set was basically the exact same as Ultimate Cap.  They were both done by the same guys of course.

   In no particular order...
   Babylon 5
   West Wing
   I Spy
   Firefly
   Buffy the Vampire Slayer
   Blackadder
   Hogan's Heroes
   Greatest American Hero
   Saturday Night Live
   Star Trek
