Gadot ties up then spanks Carter.
I’ll be in Tjackflash’s bunk.

So are you... helping?

General Comic Discussion / Re: Weirdest retcons?
« on: November 05, 2018, 09:20:39 PM »
I always thought that the writers of the Inhumans series were trying to do "Game of Thrones with powers.  They didn't do that well, but that may have been what they were going for.
As for retcons I've never liked the bring 'em back from the dead stories.  The X-men are especially big on this from the original one from the Neal Adams era of Prof. X having put an impostor in his own place (who gets killed)without telling the team, so he can prepare to fight some alien race who get whupped in one issue.  All the way to the umpty hundred times Jean Grey gets to come back, each time more silly than the last.

Myers is basically a dark magic version of a Terminator, so I'll put my money on Sarah.  Maybe he wakes up in the morgue and comes back for a sequel, but she puts him down in the finale.

I think the movie version would be better in a fight, but I know I'd pay big money to watch them.
      I'll be in my bunk.

I don't think there's ever been a Bullseye/Hawkeye fight in the comics.  That's unfortunate really, because I always thought they both had the same subtle mutation that gave them their uncanny aim. Maybe they have an ancestor in common. There are any number of fictional characters and historical figures who supposedly had incredible aim
A story too be told someday in a retcon or maybe someone's fanfic.

Food and Fitness / Re: What is the best Greek dish?

Gyros, stuffed grape leaves or my favorite, baklava drenched in honey accompanied by a strong cup of coffee w/ cream for dunking.

Or Marina Sirtis, also drenched in honey and ready for dunking, but I think that's a different thread.

I'll take the Mr. Majestic set and I don't even know who Professor Q is.

Kind of like midget wrestling....but with hairy feet.

I wouldn't mind them bring back Sons of Anarchy to redo the last season lol
I’ve heard that series ended badly a few times here. I never watched it.

I've been watching "Mayans" on FX. It's the spinoff from SoA and has one or two characters in common.  It's pretty good, my personal favorite is Edward James Olmos as the father of the lead character.  I'm waiting for him to call someone a Cylon and blow them to hell...but that's just me.

ICT / Re: Batman vs Daredevil| Who's truly more skilled?

Miller also made Batman invulnerable and Wolverine a samurai. As well as f^<king up the Spirit in ways too numerous to go in to.
When he sticks his own creations he's a genius and fiercely protective of them.  Give him somebody else's toys to play with and he can't make the changes fast enough.

DC Drones / Re: Do you find Superman boring or interesting?
« on: October 03, 2018, 03:16:41 PM »
Superman like Capt. America can be great characters when they have the right writers.  Supes as was mentioned with John Byrne, or the series done by JMS and Cap with Mark Waid all have done marvelous jobs on books that others later turned into steaming piles of dog-crap.

ICT / Re: Robocop (2014) vs Captain America (MCU)

I haven't seen the newer movie Robocop in a while but I don't remember him as being all that fast in reflexes or much of an expert in hand to hand. Both of which Cap excells at.
As long as Cap can avoid getting blown away in a hail of gunfire (which he has had a LOT of practice at) and can get in close, I'd have to put my money on the Star-Spangled Avenger

ICT / Re: Two movie Wonder Women vs movie Superman
« on: September 05, 2018, 01:32:45 PM »
Which movie Superman? Man of Steel or "The Movie"
Two very different power levels, and Reeves version had the super-breath to go along with the heat vision to give him some long distance attacks.
This is a fun thread in general but two things keep coming up. First can the people suggesting the match ups please be more specific about which version of their fighters they're talking about or like with the "Spike vs. Heathcliff" who these two were at all.  Second some of these matchups seem like someone spun two big wheels with the names of every character in existence on them.  Let's see... The Predator ......vs.....click, click, click....Snoopy!!!    (Predator will never touch him, Snoopy's got the flying doghouse.)
A little clarity and some balance between opponents is all I'm asking for.

Are we talking about Snoopy's brother against the Garfield ripoff?  If so, why.

Doesn't this belong in the "yeah, so..." file?   L.S.D., mushrooms, peyote, and such are kind of supposed to make you see God, dead relatives, and a lot of other interesting things.
          THAT'S!  WHY!  YOU!  TAKE!  THEM!
Sir Paul and the lads have brought me a lot of my favorite music over the years so I'm pleased that he had a nice experience, but I'm not exactly surprised about his using, nor do I think that if he were not famous anyone would give a rat's furry butt.
