The Zelda franchise has finally evolved, and it's done so with aplomb.

Fuck this game is good, and fuck the world is HUGE

I have the Wii U version, btw

Who would you rather?

Who would win in a fight?

I guess break it down between gear and no gear, because Catwoman uses a whip sometimes.

Cause there's scans of DP vs Cap in full SHIELD regalia that leads me to believe that this is the case

Game Cage / What games/systems do you have?
« on: July 21, 2016, 08:09:38 AM »
This is going to be exhaustive, so bear with me.

It's more about doing inventory for myself, but I am also interested in what other people have and like to play.

To begin

Wii U
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Hyrule Warriors
Mario Kart 8
Super Mario 3D World
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Bayonetta (comes with 2)
Bayonetta 2
Nintendo Land
Rayman Legends
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (came with the system)
Wii U Virtual Console
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Trine 2
Wii Sports Club
Wii Party U
NES Remix
Lone Survivor: Director's Cut (good game. Neat game. Not my kind of game, I regret buying it)
Donkey Kong 64
Mario Kart DS
Super Metroid
Earthbound (great game. Very neat game. Hate the gameplay, but I don't regret buying it)
Demon's Crest (good game. Neat game. A lot of boring pausing and switching and micromanaging you have to do with your power ups. Regret it)
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow (Fucking awesome. I'm not a big CV guy, but I did like SotN a lot, and this game supplanted that one in my esteem)
Metroid Zero Mission (the only way I can play the story of the original Metroid. Blech OG Metroid)
Super Mario Advance 4 Super Mario Bros. 3
Metroid Fusion
Super Mario Advance 2 Super Mario World
Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land (I have yet to find a Kirby game I like or enjoy, but I keep trying for Floris' sake. Not a fan yet, but maybe someday)
Super Mario Bros. 3
Dr. Mario
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Mario Strikers Charged
Wii VC
Mario Golf 64
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Super Mario Bros. 3

Nintendo 3DS XL
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D
Super Smash Bros for 3DS (regret buying this. I got Mewtwo "for free" for having the 3DS version as well as the Wii U version, but depending on how you look at it, I really spent either $50 or $70 (depending on which version you're looking at it from) on one character. And I didn't play it even when I was waiting for the Wii U version to come out)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Mario Golf World Tour (regret buying this. I loved Mario Golf for the N64 and Toadstool Tour on the GameCube was pretty good as well, so I had high hopes for the 3DS version. I can't even say it's a bad game, I just don't like it)
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (came loaded on the system)
Nintendo 3DS XL VC
Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land
Wario Land 2
Nintendo DS
Chrono Trigger (got this when it came out in 2008, first time I had ever played CT. Great fucking game)

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (yes I could put them under one title, basically, because GZ is pretty much like if they shipped the Tanker chapter of MGS2 as its own game, but w/e fuck you. Phantom Pain has the best gameplay of any MGS, and being on the best hardware also means it's the prettiest, but it's also the least Metal Gear of any game in the series)
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt (yes I have all the DLC and yes I have over 500 hours on this game. It's in my personal top 5 best all-time games, easily. CDProjekt RED are a phenomenal developer and I want to suck Geralt's dick)
Batman Arkham Knight (came bundled with my system. This one is like MGS5. Prettiest, plays the best, does a lot of cool new shit, but ultimately it's the weakest in the series. City is the best overall, still, they've never been able to recapture the level of atmosphere that Asylum had (which is fine) and say what you want about Origins because you're a whiny little girl, but that one had great boss battles, probably the best looking Batsuit and had highs comparable to any of the other games, even if it also possibly had the worst lows)
Fallout 4 (huge regret, did not and will not buy any of the DLC, and fuck Bethesda, they need to stick to Elder Scrolls)
Battlefield 4
The Last of Us Remastered (came with the system. Not complaining)
PS4 "Library" i.e. I got them for free for having a PSPlus subscription and I put them in my library to artificially pad out my owned game count and it was free so fuck you
Gone Home: Console Edition
Grim Fandango Remastered (okay this one has great writing and even better voice acting. I am happy to have this free game...even if I have to play it with a guide)
NBA 2K16
Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour (waiting for a friend to come over so we can play this)
Saints Row: Gat out of Hell (will probably play this one at some point)
Styx: Master of Shadows
Tropico 5

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (I am ONE TROPHY away from Platinuming this game...and it's the hardest Trophy in the game to get, because to get all the iPod tracks, you need to beat the game on The Boss Extreme in under 5 hours, with no alerts/continues/kills/health items used. That's actually a lot easier than it sounds, because every act can be completed in 40 minutes or less, depending on the act, and if you skip all the cutscenes and there's 5 acts soooo. But Act 3 has a bike chase through the streets of Eastern Europe that I was on my way to memorizing and getting better at (there's a Continue work around where, if you die, or want to restart, just don't click Continue if you die and instead click Exit, then reload your save. Takes way longer but also means you didn't use a Continue) when my PS3 at the time was stolen and I haven't had the courage since to go back to it)
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, and Peace Walker, all at 720p/60fps. Not a bad gig)
Batman Arkham City GOTY Edition
Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition (all prior DLC in one package. Also made my top 5 all-time. Amazing game, top to bottom)
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (yes I am going to buy the Remastered version when it comes out because Bethesda does good shit when it's ES, even if they have no fucking clue what the fuck when it comes to Fallout)
Fallout 3 GOTY Edition (All DLC. Don't like this one at all. Bethesda developed Fallout game, so no surprises. But it was in the $20 bin at Walmart sooo)
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY Edition (Again, as with all GOTY, all DLC. But I played Skyrim first and going back to a slightly different and more cumbersome has turned me off huge from this game, which is a shame. I may begin playing it in the near future)
Bioshock Ultimate Rapture Edition (Bioshock 1&2, with all DLCs. I've watched playthroughs of both games, so I gave up when I got to Arcadia in 1 and I think after the first Big Sister in 2. I know the story, which is the most important and best part that isn't the art direction, so w/e)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Trilogy (Splinter Cell and Pandora Tomorrow were remastered in 1080p, but Chaos Theory only got bumped up to 720. Probably because of the still-to-this-day terrific lighting engine. Another $20 game that seemed like a good idea but I ended up not caring about. I bought it expecting the American Metal Gear, and honestly it lived up to that expectation, but it also lived up to my expectation that every single game UbiSoft has ever made is buggy, or singularly shitty in one particular way, and these games qualify. Line of sight is retarded and cheap in these games, and the controls just never seem to work as well as they should)
The Last of Us (came with the system. So yeah I have vanilla and Remastered the Last of Us and since I watched a buddy play through it when it originally came out, I haven't cared enough to play either. Like with Bioshock, I got the experience. The journey. And I'm okay right now with my memory of it)
PS3 downloaded games I bought. It's an important distinction
Castlevania Symphony of the Night (surprise!)
Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver (regret buying it, but it's not bad. Just hasn't aged well game wise)
Metal Gear Solid/VR Missions (got both for like $8 a couple months ago)
Star Wars Bounty Hunter (flawed game, but still fun, and I am reasonably sure is also canon)
LittleBigPlanet (Actually got this free when the PSN was hacked and people got a couple free games. Which leads to...
InFamous (very good game. And freeee)
Batman: Arkham Origins (have all the DLC as well. Cold, Cold Heart was fun)
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance (I bought it to support Metal Gear, like Bayonetta 2 to support Nintendo, but it's not my style)
Deadpool (fun fact: I made my brother's PS3 my other main PS3 (you get up to 2 main PS3 but only one main PS4) and gave him my account info so he could have the game, which was his Christmas present. Short but sweet)
Free PS3 shit that I never play because I don't really care about any of these games but they were freeeeee
Hitman Contracts
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
Hitman 3: Blood Money
Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut (looks like a PS2 game, actually worse in some respects, but this sort of a bit like Twin Peaks game by a crazy Japanese man has a really good and fucked up story. Still can't stand playing the game, though, so go look up the story on YouTube sometime)
DuckTales: Remastered
Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition (not as fun without cheats. Is there a way to do cheats?)
Thief (I see why purists dislike the game, but it's fine on its own merits. A lot of people hate Deadly Shadows because it's not exactly like the first two, but Deadly Shadows is fucking sweet. Also no Stephen Russell as Garrett is hugely disappointing)
Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments (*shrug*)
God of War Ascension
Twisted Metal reboot game
Beyond Good & Evil HD (*shrug* Heard it was the best worst selling game of all-time. Played it for a bit. Did not care in the least)
Dragon Age: Origins (disliked the combat system so I couldn't get into it at all. Shame, really)
SIREN: Blood Curse (another one I need to play with the right person. This one seems sweet)

The lesson to be learned from all of this? I own a lot of games I don't give a shit about and have never played.

But at least most of those were free.
