Marvel Zombies / Re: Victory? Triumph? Who really cares?

Is Herc mortal again?

Jesus, that's an insane showing for Mangog. And some people were claiming it was his weakest portrayal yet based on the number of punches it took to KO War Thor an issue or two ago...

This Mangog is easier to hurt than before but his strength showings are better than ever.

He specifically shrugged off a tactic that was used to beat him previously...
The way Heimdall stabbed him.

That's a 50 tons level guy wielding a big fuck-off sword which could be magical but then again, the Mangog once compared Thor's strikes to bee-stings. Maybe the Mangog's weaker against edged attacks? Didn't seem to slow him down too much, anyway.

And yeah, I'm not surprised to see the Mangog manhandling the Destroyer like a toy; Destroyer's akin to a REALLY pissed off Hulk in strength, maybe 1.5 X Thor but the Mangog's always been on a different level. Biting off the Destroyer's arm is another matter entirely though. That's sick strength.

It is magical and charged with cosmic energies.

Mangog does note that Freya is weakened when entering the Destroyer so it was definitely not at full power. Though I am not sure if the strength of the user affects the durability of the armor

I like him too, but just envisioning it in my head Elba would look and be fantastic I think

Elba would’ve made the ideal Killmonger and been a better imposing physical foil

Ock should take this. His arms can work and attack even if he's unconscious. If Nightcrawler teleports in for a quick punch to the face and KO, the arms will still take him out. If they're fast enough to keep Spider-Man busy, they're fast enough to tag him before he teleports away. There's also enough of them to cover Ock pretty well from any angle.

If Ock knows anything about Nightcrawler and has time to prep, he can probably come up with some tech to neutralize the teleporting.

And current Ock is in a cloned Peter Parker body, so if we go by current version he's going to straight up clobber Nightcrawler.

I preferred Wolverine's healing factor as it was in his early days. Good enough for him to take a crippling or lethal hit and keep fighting, though with some difficulty. Good enough for him to heal fully in between fights from one day to the next. It made him look scrappy and tough. His more recent showings, where he shrugs off any trauma and is healed in seconds, is detrimental to his character IMHO.

Go back to his old healing factor levels and, hey presto, no more need for adamantium weapons or Muramasa McGuffins to make him seem like he's in danger.

Or just write better

Asking to power down characters ultimately means lazy and uninventive writing. A good writer can make any character interesting, no matter how powrful

Adamantium mittens, Muramasa bullets.

These things used to be rare precious metals
I'm glad they no longer are. Wolverine(and others guyswith hf) being unkillable made him boring.

That's basically his purpose. He wasn't unkillable but very difficult. Every Tom dick or Harry having access to adamantium is ridiculous
