If you tell me high powered magnets are useless I may start to feel differently though.

Is it weird that my favorite characters are Lotor and Coran?

No. Lotor is pretty damn bad ass, not just obligatory evil like his old man but cunning and skill based rather than just trying to over power everything. Coran is just lots of fun.

I really like Pidge. I think that may be weird. But greens my favorite color. Also glad to see a guy like Lance make it as a Paladin.

Fair enough tallest, doesn't mean all options are off the table. Clearly electricity isn't the go to move. I'm no physical scientist like Parker, though, so I would t know that. This knowledge changes my opinion of the fight about as much as when I learned only sonics or fire worked on Carnage but not both. SM should still be able to win a standard non hell in a cell type confrontation between them even though it usually won't be thanks to physically over powering or webbing his foe into submission. That beautiful Parker brain. Of course it has its limits but I don't see Colossus testing those limits.

The reason I specifically think the metal is an advantage compared to someone else who was comparably durable without metallic skin is that it gives a very clear problem to focus on. If it's say Rhino it's just a generally tough hide (perhaps not as tough as Colossus?) but w/ metal skin the problem he must figure out becomes what is a good way to turn this to my advantage. IOW this super scientist who can keep out of Colossus' range for as long as he needs to only has to figure out what in the environment does not mix with metal be it magnets, electricity, using his weight to sink him somewhere or trap him so he has to turn back to human. There are more options than he'd have with a lot of similarly powered opponents e.g. Rhino. Obv Rhino has his own set of things to capatalize on.

I think it's a great start. I do wonder what's up with Colossus being flush with the right margin on my screen though.

Oh my bad, I thought I logged onto regular herochat, not bizzaro-herochat. Et tu Shuruku?

I think the metal skin is actually something Spidey can work with. While I agree there's very little chance of Spider-Man punching him out, the metal skin means Colossus is ripe to be taken down with the ol noggin, Spider-Man's best asset even beyond his Spider-sense (number 2). If I had to sandwich the challenge Colossus presents to Spider-Man in terms of his rogues, I'd put it at more than Rhino but less than Morlun.

Remember that time Captain Marvel was wailing on Doc Green and he was just smiling relaxing?

Well that's inspired this challenge, and I don't think it will be easy but I applaud anyone willing to try. You ou can go as nuts with this as you want, edit as you go, or put a list out there just to get things started, but I hope you'll participate.

Ok here it is:

With Hulk as number 1, and Captain Marvel the last name on this list, rank all the Marvel characters you can that fall between them in strength.

should look a little something like this

Hulk
Name
Name
Name
Captain Marvel

Obv a lot more names in there, and, well actual character names. Very curious to see what characters people include and where they rank them

No I don't think he should have. Herc is a guy that that is shockingly powerful. I always think back to the scene of Namor being surprised that Herc was stronger than him underwater when they were approaching Phoenix. Or any number of Herc feats from the Godzilla one, to the Manhattan pull, to whichever of the times he knocked Galactus around was most authentic. So yeah Spidey shouldn't be able to hurt him with that just as he wouldn't be  able to hurt say Hulk or Juggernaut with that

Colossus more durable than Rhino/Titania? Maybe to something's, hell maybe in general but to blunt force trauma and the like I don't know that he's all that much more durable. Even if he is don't think it will make much difference as Spider-Man tends to go for immobilization when he can rather than KOs. But to be fair I did say in my first post that Colossus will probably do slightly better than Rhino. In part bc he's probably a little more durable and certainly more intelligent (though just to a standard baseline, not to a point where he's going to out think Spider-man).

I've seen Spider-Man own the shit out of Wolverine a lot more than I have Colossus so I don't exactly know what you're talking about with that last part. Would also point to the questionable relevance to this encounter, but I don't even think that's true in the first place that Colossus has generally done better than Spider-Man against Wolverine.

Well you're climbing that fence which I support but it's now time to get off of it and come down on this side. Yes Colossus can't touch Spider-Man but Spider-Man will find a way to put him down EVENTUALLY even if it's not by punching/webbing him up (but see countless Spider-man fights if you don't believe me here or basically what I've been preaching the entire thread.) It might take some doing, say more than it might for Rhino, Titania, or Sandman, but not nearly as long as it would take for say Juggernaut or Hulk. On balance Colossus is much more a Rhino/Titania than Juggernaut/Hulk anyways.

There's also demonstrated undeniable incredible physical talents on display with the Titania scan though. Yeah he can manipulate, yeah that's how he bested a mentally unstable much more powerful Colossus the last time they fought, but it's the physical stuff he's doing that's so impressive. Controlling the fight from beginning to end. Now that's not going to get to Colossus unless he sometimes struggles with his self worth but

Oh yeah he does!

And sure Colossus is more confident now then he was back then but it doesn't mean he's going to be any better at laying hands on Spidey than Titania was. At the end of the day, that's what you're all ignoring while simultaneously acting like he's closer to a classic Juggernaut or Hercules than he is to a Rhino and Titania. Just not the case.

The thing is there are so many of them. Spider-mans treatment of Titania for example, a relative peer of less extreme She Hulk portrayals. A statement that could be made of Colossus. Granted, she like Rhino, isn't usually a match for Colossus, but both are certainly in the same ball park.

Not to go too heavy on Secret Wars scans but that fight is so relevant to this one. And as Spidey says there, as long as he has room to work, someone like Colossus shouldn't be able to lay a finger on him.
