Good list overall.  My favorite QT movies are Jackie Brown and Kill Bill 2 ("fucking with your cash is the only thing you kids seem to understand!", "That woman deserves her revenge... and we deserve to die.") in that order, but Pulp Fiction is a classic so I get it being #1.

Yo, if you're not watching this show right now you do not know what you're missing.  I know you're wondering "why does this guy post about this show so much?!"  Well you gotta understand that the past two episodes have been absolute gems.  There is no rival when it comes to OST (except Bleach due to personal bias).

This season has also been able to evoke more feels in 6 episodes than the first did in 25... and AOT S1 is the single most important season in the history of anime!  So that's saying something.  I heard this YouTuber refer to this past episode as the single greatest episode of any TV show he's ever seen.  I immediately recognized that as rapturous hyperbole, but also completely related to his enthusiasm.

It's an appreciation for something that such a precious few even know is out there.  I go to work on Monday, pants covered in nut from the weekend's episode, and then I ask people if they'd seen it and I get either "attack on what?" or "is that hentai?" They are watching BASURA like The Walking Dead or 13 Reasons Why and have absolutely no clue that I'm trying to put them on to something that artistically, narratively puts those shows to shame.  I can't stress enough that if you truly love your family and friends you would be telling them to watch this show and be watching it with them.  And now that season 2 is half way done, this is the perfect time to start the series.  Once you do the spell that has bound my essence to this thread will be broken.

Yo, remember when I said that S2e5 was one of the best AOT episodes?  Well S2e6 >> S2e5!!!  Week after week just leaving you crestfallen wondering how or if our loved ones can ever put the pieces of their fractured lives back together again.

I have a serious question: name another show that pulls at your heartstrings as much as AOT.  I genuinely curious.

You definitely should start.  It's half the episodes, so it's much faster-paced.

This last episode of AOT ( S2e5) is one‚Äč of the best of the series so far.  Really blown away by the character development.  People toss that shit around, but its absolutely magical how they can take characters that were ignored in S1 and make you misty-eyed about them in S2.  Storytelling is just on a different level in this show.  After 4 years off the anime is only getting BETTER!

Thought maybe they backed themselves into a narrative corner because OITNB is not Wentworth; therefore, there are lines that will not be crossed imho.

I'm surprised to hear Wentworth got a mention.
What's the reception/popularity like o/seas?

It's a remake of Prisoner which was a popular controversial  Aussie soap series in the 80's.

Barely anyone here watches it, but everyone who does loves it.  It's harder to sit through than OITNB because OITNB is so well-written that it grabs you and shifts your mood along with the show.  With Wentworth, if I'm not in the mood for the unyielding dread and solemn mood of the show I can't turn it on.  Frankie's my favorite character, but.they all lack the redeemability to really root for.  Great show though.

So I can assume Netflix didn't pay the random for the episodes?

Thankfully they didn't.  First 2 episodes are great!  A lil on the darker side like season 2.

So I've watched the first episode of the new season (season 5) and for a show that seems like it's been off the air for a million years it hits the ground running fast and hard. This show is arguably the most bingable show in existence and nothing's changed.  Every single character is written so well, and it's impressive how they're inserted into the plot so naturally that it literally feels like a real world with people we've met or could be friends with.  Nowhere else is an ensemble handled so perfectly.

The cliffhanger was soooo crazy that I worried how they'd actually follow up that finale.  Thought maybe they backed themselves into a narrative corner because OITNB is not Wentworth; therefore, there are lines that will not be crossed imho.  However, the story progresses well, and the characters are perfect conduits for the chaos that besieges a marginalized community in grieving over a lost loved-one.  However, given the empathy and compassion that has always been a fundamental part of how the characters related to each other on this show, the tempest that ensues is one, however reluctantly, that you actually trust in the characters' hands.

I'm feeling pretty confident that this is going to be a tremendous season.

Oh yea... thank you, Dark Overlord!

Dodging the Surfer in that instance does require UNGODLY reflexes, which is why I've always called bullshit on that feat.  As fast as he was moving, Surfer should've had that glove off of Thanos' hand before he even knew he was born.

I'm listening to Beat It right now and Van Halen's solo is fucking awesome.

On CBR, they used to argue that Aang could beat Azula even though Azula beat him decisively EVERY SINGLE TIME they fought.  They would just ignore the actual fights altogether and call me a troll for stressing her PROVEN combat superiority.

They do treat Surfer respectfully over there though.  The entire Justice League would be MASSACRED by the Surfer in the blink of God's eye, which is realistic.

It's absolutely essential.  It's why Saudi Arabia can produce terrorists but still be allies in the war on terror.  It's why Libya no longer has a government.

If he's taking the fight seriously, Surfer will casually overpower her.
How?

He'll blast the shit out of her, trap her in a fold in space, and then make soul more feminine.
She's far faster tactically has EP defenses far beyond him and can traverse dimensions. Try again .
.

Not inside a black hole.
