Music, Movies, Tv and Books / Dave Chappelle Collection

HE'S BACK, BITCHES!!!  AND THEY SHOULDA GIVEN THAT ***** MONEY!!!

I've thusfar only seen the first special, but if it's any indication of where the collection is going he's definitely earning his $60M.  He's so honest and so edifying while do some real edgy material at times.  He's now officially an old-school/throwback comedian and he's not afraid to occupy that cultural space.  Nobody does it better than King Dave.

It was funny, the crazier Jackson's character got, the more his nostrils would flare.
Then they'd do a close up shot of his face followed by Kong's...uncanny!

But regardless, it was a brilliant addition to the monster genre.
It's a shame you just "watched some of it" & cast a negative opinion.

Maybe it was the 3D glasses.  3D is annoying.  Everytime it focuses on the characters popping out of the foreground, all the scenery in the background gets fuzzy.  It just didn't work.

Plus Kong's size continually changes from the size a skyscraper to the size of a quickymart.

You do realise that Kong & Samuel Jackson are 2 different characters in the movie?

Yes their ethnic relationship notwithstanding, Jackson's clearly a smaller primate. ~RealDonaldTrump 👺

Watching the Badlands reminds me how much the fights in this let me down.

Watching anything with fights reminds you of that.  This show has done significant harm to the entire Marvel/Netflix brand.  If I'm Jon Bernthal, my management is on the phone with Marvel making sure my show is taken better care of.  This crap will be unacceptable a second time around.

... there was multiple Skullcrawlers and the one Kong fought was the largest.

You know what?  I'll let you guys have this little movie if it means that much to you.  While you guys were watching this crap, I was watching people kill each other to death, so who has better taste between us is not up for debate.  Enjoy Sam Jackson playing the tiredest action movie trope in existence ALL YOU WANT!!!

If you're going to listen to a Billy here, listen to me.

The movie was good, not spectacular but it was good. It was no masterpiece like Nightmare on Elm Street 4......The Dream Master....but it was good.

NOES 4 is one of the greatest horror movies... OF ALL TIME... PERIOD!!!  That lizard monster should've been the size of Kong's schlong based on certain shots, but they were the same fucking size when they fought.

This movie is terrible, don't waste your money.  I caught the end after Belko and it was retarded.  Worst Sam Jackson has probably ever played in his entire career.  I love Brie Larson because of Room, but she's nothing special in this.  She has gigantic shoes to fill coming off Naomi Watts AMAZEBALLS performance in the Jackson iteration, and cannot fill them.  Plus Kong's size continually changes from the size a skyscraper to the size of a quickymart.  Thumbs way the fuck down!

I've really wanted to see this, but I worry I'll never get around to it and then forget about it when it's on DVD.

It's extremely important that you see this the theater so that I... WE, can get the sequel(s) we so desperately need. This can be better than the Purge franchise if they get it right.  Right now I'm putting my faith in James Gunn.  I NEED more blood, James!

You lost a LOT of steam comparing this to the god damn Purge. Now I'm questioning watching it at all.

Dang it!  I knew that would happen.  It's different in that the setup is more like Battle Royale than Purge, but I just mean it's a lot of bloody fun, with some cynical commentary about how easily civility breaks down when...

I'm only up to do 6 or 7, I don't even care anymore.  This show is one of the more mediocre shows on all of TV.  The choreography is literally a joke.  Mutant X had better fight scenes (I love Mutant X btw).  A show about Martial Arts can't have fight scenes this bad.

Finn Jones can't can't act and the writing is shit.  So you have poor dialogue being delivered poorly.  Makes me wanna eat an elephant raw.  Just terrible.

You think you know what you'll do, but this situation is a literal waking nightmare.  You only have marginal control over your faculties at best.

Well... that was the second best movie of the year so far.  Gritty, intensely violent thriller that delivers exactly what the audience came for.  How would you react if this scenario played out at your office?
