K-M beat me to the punch. Captain Comet, Adam Blake is one of the most powerful Psionics in the DC universe.

I'm a big fan of Hank McCoy from way, way back but Kong is somewhere around 200 freakin' feet tall!!!
This fight is going to look like Bambi vs. Godzilla the remake.  If you want a fair go round, put the good Dr.McCoy in a fighter plane or the Blackbird or something.

So adding Thorne's suggestion of Jason Bourne (Good call!) we have a total of four former badasses trying to live in peaceful retirement.
Now we need three more for a modern take on the Magnificent Seven. Plus a Villian.
    Anybody have any suggestions?

Speaking as someone who's not overly tall, one good shot to the ankle bone or the knee cap and the biggest baddest MoFo in the world will go down like a bag of rocks.

Even with Wolverine level healing factors if you expand the metal inside the target's brain and leave it there your left with the strongest, most powerful vegetable in the world.

How about canceling the show because unlike the original, this one just wasn't funny.

You're probably right but I did like the idea of being free to go if I wanted. Also I am still curious about what the number was.

It's been a while but can someone tell me how many posts you need to gain access to the Jungle Room?  I had access a while ago, and then the membership number jumped. I'm currently at around 245 posts but I couldn't remember if the the new number was 300 or 400.

Fitz just gets a statue in the Hall of Good Guys that Joss killed off to break our hearts.
    Buffy.............Tara, Joyce, Anya
It's just a Whedon thing, don't try to understand.

Well...I just watched it, and with no spoilers, it seemed to be a pretty solid series wrap-up to me. I don't really know what they're going to do with another 13 episodes.

     "What's a Nubian?"
         "Who ARE those guys?"
"Did you ever pick your toes in Poughkipsee?"

My three favorites.   The second two are a little obscure but from classic movies of the '70's

Current TV Shows / Re: Lucifer

I started watching Lucifer halfway thru the season before last and I've enjoyed it a lot. I have some ideas about the show I haven't run past anyone yet.   Here there be spoilers....be warned!

It seems to me that the the core of the show is about selfish vs. selfless.  The Celestial characters all whether angel, devil or eternal seem to be completely self-absorbed. Luci or Kane thinking that everything that happens is God's secret plan for screwing them over. Maze's only being able to see the romance between two of her friends thru the prism of how it affects her. Also there's 'diel's belief that it's all about God testing him. Only when a human being sacrifices their life for him (breaking the cycle of selfishness that once sent her to Hell) does he finally get a clue that it's not all about him and regains his wings.
The Human characters all show different levels of caring for others from the lab-tech's bubbly happiness to the Detective's love for her daughter and devotion to getting justice for the victims, or the ex-husbands wearing his heart on his sleeve.  These actions always seem to baffle the more lofty types. Even Lucifer's losing his powers when near the Detective makes sense when you realize that it's the only time he isn't thinking of his own wants and needs. I'll also bet that if the show went on a few more seasons we'd find that he also loses his power when he's around the daughter Trixie.
Maybe I'm just overthinking this but I'm very interested in the opinion of anyone else who was into the show.

   I have a real question.
Tom Welling (Clark Kent) from Smallville is now a co-star on the Fox Show Lucifer, the cast of which has done a panel at Comic-Con the last few years. Do you think he'll show up and take the chance on getting grilled at the Q&A?  Do you think there'll be any questions to the rest of the cast about it?

Why would he be grilled about it?  He had nothing to do with it.

I've been to a lot of conventions and wouldn't put it past some fans to ask an off color or embarrassing question to prove how "klever" they are. Especially since now all the panel at Comic-Con go right to YouTube, some jackass may see it as their way to be Web famous.
