Title: No talk about last night's Smackdown?
Post by: Not BAMF on November 08, 2017, 11:37:59 AM
AJ Styles won the WWE title off of Jinder Mahal.

So the long national nightmare of the Jinder title run is OVER. AND we should get to see fucking Styles/Lesnar at Survivor Series!

You know... unless they put the belt back on Jinder next week.

Hmmmm.

I heard they had him drop it so he could pick it back up in India? I can’t say I follow closely enough to know how soon that’ll be.

^^^Oh lord i hope not.

I liked how on RAW they seemed to set up The Bar/Usos and Shield/New Day.
Unless they fuck that up too.

SS is looking fucking SOLID at this point and with the speculated matches.

Brock/AJ: Fuck yes.

SHIELD/New Day: I hope Reigns is healthy for this, but it's looking unlikely at this point. Still, you're dealing with two of the best teams/units/factions of all time, who just missed each other's era by a year or so. Also, hopefully New Day gets to heal it up again here.

Usos/Bar: The opposite of SHIELD/New Day where we have two heels. The Usos may be written out here with Jey's apparent Smackdown injury (which I think is a work, but their is talk it may be real). I hope we get to see this, though; it could seriously be fantastic. Both teams have barn burner potential.

Corbin/Miz: Eh, who cares? But as long as Miz wins.

Bliss/Natalya (or Charlotte): I imagine Raw has to take an L here so Brock and Miz can win. And I'd like to see The Bar beat The Usos. Damn... Raw has ALL the better champs now (except for AJ/Brock, but there's NO WAY they put AJ over Brock).

Womens' SS match: I'm not even sure who is in this. But it will be all right. The talent is there.

Balor, Joe, Angle, Jordan, Braun vs Shane, Shinsuke, Orton, Roode, and TBA (if Wikipedia is to be believed, the last SD member is Cena, which would be great): So much intrigue here! Can Balor and Joe get along? Will Jordan turn heel on Angle? How will Owens and Sami factor in? This match could be one of those messes that is overbooked in a GOOD way.

Enzo/Kalisto: Whatever.

Agree on AJ over Mahal.
NOW we have a money match.

Reigns is supposed to come back next week, so Shiled/New Day seems solid.

Bar/Usos could be sooo good, so i hope it happens.

More importantly, more Paige nudes leaked last night

Yeah, the card is looking way better than it did a week ago.

I kind of don't get how Smackdown is the more heelish group since--well, look at them. They're outnumbed a good two to one...more if you count the UK division. But they have been the underdog team every single time, so at least it's something different. Also, I like the role Kurt's in.

I was going to talk about it and then decided I'd wait a week just to be sure that AJ sticks. I'd honestly like to see him beat Brock since....y'know most over guy in the WWE, but I want everyone to win against that overpriced dumb-dumb. It'll be a great match.

Shield vs New Day should be fun.

Alexa Bliss vs Nattie...yuck. Hopefully Charlotte wins so we could get a decent match

Women's SS match. Dammit, I want Becky Lynch to lead her team to victory, but I don't want Asuka to take a loss in anyway because that would be stupid (maybe a Bad News Brown scenerio?) Also...Alicia Fox? Dammit, Kevin Dunn. But I do like how Bayley is being dumped on. I'm sorry, but I never watched NXT, and I don't get what's so great about her. I mean, the booking hasn't helped, but The 4 Horsewomen. Dude, she's Paul Roma if anything. :)

Baron Corbin vs The Miz....Man, have these two been booked like garbage lately, huh? At least with Miz, he's being terrorized by BRAAAAAAAAUNNN Strowman. Corbin's been getting punked by Sin Cara.

RAW vs Smackdown SS match: This is interesting because it looks like team Smackdown is the way more united team with everyone being a face. Sucks Shane's in it, but whatever. I've come to accept that he'll be in every damn major PPV and have a major feud until he's eighty and still doing coast to coasts. Unless they're dumb enough to replace Shane with Mahal.

The RAW team...not so much. You have Samoa Joe who doesn't give a flip about anyone and is made right now at Baylor. Kurt obviously playing favorites having his worthless son on the team. At least Braun is face now so....maybe he doesn't kill without warning?

So this should be a pretty good PPV after I thought it would be pretty mediocre a few weeks ago.

Okay, Jordan is out and Triple H is in. You think the COO favoring one brand over another-- but then look at the roster. The only match currently, It think Smackdown has a chance at winning is the Usos tag match.

Screw that, the USOS are goin' down!!!
Srsly though, should be a great match with The Bar. Heel on heel can be pretty awesome.

Damn, RAW put the boots to SD, big time last night!
It was nice the brawl(s) minus the females, took place out in the ring, so the crowd could see it first hand. Smart move.
Shane had it coming.
