I fucking LOVE creme brûlée when I can get it.

Past that, pretty much any cheesecake. Or  cream pie (banana, coconut, chocolate, peanut butter).

Strawberry shortcake. The real kind, with marinated strawberrys.

Affogato, vanilla ice cream with espresso on top.

Tres leches cake.

Affogato, vanilla ice cream with espresso on top.

I don't like coffee or espresso, and even I think Affogato is the shit.

Banana Cream Pie
Bananas Foster
Banana Split

Yep, bit of a phallic theme there. Don't care. Bananas are dessert master race.

Nah, Oreo Mountain is like this deliciously layered dessert made with ice cream, Oreos, whipped cream, hot fudge and maybe some other shit I can't remember.

It's as white trash as desserts get, but its fucking delicious

Ah I've had desserts like that. Usually just called oreo creme pie or oreo cake. Oreo mountain sounds cooler though.

Oreo Cake is a slightly different thing. Might just be regional semantics though

We just call it Oreo Ice Cream Cake or Oreo Mudslide.

Haha I think Oreo mudslide is a name for a different dessert here too

Why the fuck do we have so many different  Oreo delicacies

The Oreo is the quintessential American cookie. Its almost an institution like Coca-Cola.

Fruit Cobbler  (Peach, blueberry, blackberry, or multi-berry work best)

Kringle

I was going to say cannoli. But my Mom's are the only ones I have ever tasted that rose to this level. Restaurant, bakery, or market done ones just aren't the same. Napoleons are actually a better choice, generally.

My most common dessert is just plain old fruit though. Which satisfies me just fine. Rice pudding is an easy change of pace on occasion.

That kringle is teasing me.
I would suggest also to try  amaretti cookies, pretty sure you can find the in US.

Ice Cream, Pecan Pie, Funnel Cake.

I will accept funnel cake even though no one has ever eaten it as a dessert. Funnel cake is something you eat in between a gyro and and a corndog at a fair.

Ice cream (anything from a good vanilla bean to any number of more out-there Ben & Jerry's flavors...anything with peanut butter involved, for starters)

Apple pie (ideally oven-heated and with some of that vanilla ice cream on top)

Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (screw raisins!)

Cheesecake could probably swap with apple pie or the cookies, especially if there's a generous graham cracker or chocolate crust.

I just got back from Portugal and they have a very tasty dessert called a pastel de natas. It’s a small tart-like thing made with egg custard. It was apparently invented by women who were bored after being banished to nunneries for being unmarriable. You can get them in Newark where there’s a large Portuguese community but they’re not as good.

Cheesecake - graham cracker crust is a must, and I like fruit on top. My wife makes a layered pumpkin pie/cheesecake that is GODLY. Alas...she only makes it like, twice a year (around the holidays, so at least I'll get one soon).

Brownies - I prefer brownies to a cake for my bday. And pretty much whenever I can get them. Just about any type, though I prefer them without nuts.

Chocolate Chip Cookies - Warmed up and juuuust slightly underdone so they're chewy vs. crispy. My wife makes them with toffee bits or Andes chocolate mints from time to time and they're AMAZING.
