Currently about half the states in the US allow marriage between first cousins. What should we do about this? Should we be allowing this any state? Should this be something allowed in all states? Or should we just pretend this isn't going on so we don't have to think about how icky it is?

It's gross, but I'm not sure if it should be illegal. I mean, it's viewed pretty much as the grossest, redneck-iest thing in history, so social stigma alone should make people ashamed of doing it. How often does this even happen?

I agree with Jabroni. There's enough social stigma against it to at least keep it out of view, and the genetic aspect of cousin-breeding isn't that big of a deal (?). Soooo no I wouldn't make it illegal. I'd just shun them. Like furries.

Certainly, anyone who is for homosexual 'marriage' has nothing to say about incestuous adult marriages of any sort.

Not everything that is socially taboo needs to be illegal. And because this is not a pressing legal matter on the federal level, it's perfectly fine to allow the states to decide if they want to prohibit such marriage.
Definitely gross as shit though.

This should be regulated on genetic grounds much more than social ones, IMHO.
Many cousins never know or see each other, but serious genetic predispositions can and do exist across cousins that lead to unfortunate congenital issues.

I don't particularly care if people do fuck or don't fuck, but I'm saying -- if you're going to make incest illegal, it should be for genetic reasons rather than the social taboo (which is where the taboo originated from in the first place).
If people want to have genetically diseased babies, I'm all for it. Freedom to choose, and that doesn't mean you love them any less.
By that same standard, brothers and sisters should be allowed to marry and procreate as well. I really am fine with that, though it brings up the issue of burdens on the state.

So it's a viable idea in any way to you that genetically deficient individuals should not be allowed to marry?
What happens if a genetic disposition towards homosexuality is discovered?

What does it matter anyway? I thought according to the pro-homo marriage crowd, marriage has nothing to do with kids, right? So in the event that there is a genetic trait dicovered, it would then be conceivably viable to ban gays from conceiving genetic descendants, via tech or surrogates, right? Hell, banning people with undesirable genetic deficiencies from creating children is okay, right?

You made it clear, multiple times, that if a couple isn't producing children, they shouldn't be allowed to marry or civilization would collapse. You even tried to reinforce that view, in this thread, by saying a couple that produces deformed children is somehow superior to a couple that produces zero children.

Flagrant lie. And you know it. You even tried to reinforce that view, in this thread, by saying a couple that produces deformed children is somehow superior to a couple that produces zero children.
Yes, sick people have valuable lives even if they are more difficult than people with optimum health. I know you must pretend that human life and the activity innately conducive to the existence of all human life is meaningless because you are eager to capitulate to the politically manipulated low-self esteem delusions of gay people due to indoctrination meant to instill enormous levels of hatred for the facts about reality that make people feel bad, but when people start stating that it is unreasonable to believe that people with genetic deficiencies have any value whatsoever, I insinuating that they might want to reevaluate their ideological premises.

Flagrant lie.
And you know it. You've gone above and beyond the call establishing that as your viewpoint. Yes, sick people have valuable lives even if they are more difficult than people with optimum health. Haha, your desperation is growing with every thread. I deleted your 89-word run-on sentence of nothing. It didn't actually say anything relevant, but it did try to slip a clumsy insult in.
