Irredeemable

 So I left off with volume 4, and now I'm thinking of ordering volumes 5-9. I've heard some mutterings about the quality decreasing as Waid took on other projects, but is it still worth it to finish the series?

To be honest, after a while I found that Waid just didn't really give a toss about the comic anymore.
Every chance to give Tony some depth was quickly dashed with having him being evil justified by something -more- fucked up happening during him growing up.

This book should have been called: "How to create an incredible prick by having only completely shitty things happening to him 24/7 since the day of his creation." Any chance for ambiguity he completely dismissed for yet something else horrible happening to the Plutonian since his "birth".

I had high hopes for the book, but ever since about halfway through it's just depressing for its own sake.

Empire was great. Too bad it never continued.

It ran too long.  I never even finished it, but you can tell it was running too long.  It was like a good idea that started SOOO strong and he tried to stretch it out and it couldn't take it.
