Why the FUCK would Warlock be like "Well, shit since it will only make you as powerful outside your realm as you are inside your realm, here's a cosmic cube, Mephisto!"
WHAT THE FUCK. What goes through your mind, Gaara?
Don't you see that giving Mephisto more power would not make him more of a threat?

Obviously this will continue to go over your head as long as we're talking directly about Mephisto so let's try an analogy:
Would Zod be a greater threat to Krypton if he wielded the same power on Krypton that he has on Earth? It would, but it'd be better than doubling his power. I've given more than statements (Blackheart, Nova, Ulik). Don't believe he mentioned it to BH, said I'd comment on Nova when I get my comp up and running, and I've commented on Ulik. Obviously not, since he needed to have her pass through a mystical portal. If being in his realm was such an issue, he could have just as easily teleported her to his realm. How silly of me to ask you to support your assertion with evidence. *sigh* So you also believe Mephisto to be powerless before a cave in? References. Dr. Strange, Dr. Doom, and Adam Warlock. Because exaggerating how much more powerful he is in Hell is not the same as lying about being more powerful.
Without anything more than the statement to back it up, yes, it is.

It would, but it'd be better than doubling his power. Oh, I see. So it's okay to give him a cube as long as it doesn't double his power. Even if Mephisto was completely powerless outside of his domain, only a total fool would give him a cosmic cube. Don't believe he mentioned it to BH, said I'd comment on Nova when I get my comp up and running, and I've commented on Ulik. He did mention it to Blackheart. You've... "commented"... on Ulik; you haven't managed to counter it. Nor will you be able to do so with the Nova example. And let's go ahead and add Surfer to the list. Inside Hades, Mephisto was able to manipulate the Surfer into attacking Warlock after Surfer left his domain (RESURRECTION #4). As with Nova, Mephisto needed to get Surfer to pass through the portal in the graphic novel JUDGMENT DAY. If being in his realm was such an issue, he could have just as easily teleported her to his realm. But he didn't. I could suggest a reason why, but it doesn't matter. *sigh*
So you also believe Mephisto to be powerless before a cave in? That has nothing to do with being killed by the blood of an innocent. He has always been particularly vulnerable to purity. Dr. Strange, Dr. Doom, and Adam Warlock. Warlock possessed the Soul gem, which gave him access to power rivaling Mephisto's. Warlock also agreed to give up his soul if Mephisto overcame the soul gem. As for Strange and Doom... So yes, Mephisto was after the souls in both instances. He's probably lying, right? Without anything more than the statement to back it up, yes, it is.
I've given examples. You've given nothing.

Mephisto would lose outside of his realm. In his realm is an entirely different story. It would be a good battle but Thanos would reign victorious in my book.

So what you're saying is it's not an entirely different story at all.

Thanos on neutral would win pretty easily.
In mephisto realm... You would think a well written Mephisto would win.. yet he has many low showings against people below thanos level in his own realm. Toss up

From my understanding, when heroes "beat" Mephisto in his own realm, it's because he fails to corrupt/take their souls.

Yeah, in his own realm it is usually Mephisto doing damn near whatever he wants and stating he could easily destroy the hero, but then he says something akin to "But what joy would there be in that?!?! I want their soooouuulllllll!" And then he gets WTFpwned by said soul.

Memphisto 9/10 in his own realm. Gets closer out. Thanos can pull some wins if Surfer and others can bitch Meph outside.
Probably 6/10 Meph.

Mephisto should win fairly easily. Thanos is not on his level. I can admit that. He ain't far behind though so it won't be no rape. . . just an easy win.

Perhaps, like the scene provided you, you're simply unaware of other examples? There's precedent after all.
I REMEMBER RAVENSEYE Also this thread just shows that even after repeated attempts, Gaara still doesn't get Mephisto. I wish I knew where my Doctor Doom / Mephisto Triumph and Torment thread went.
