Dracula

I've decided that the Dracula of Earth-A is going to be the Dracula from the series Monster Force, as it was the most compitent, powerful, intelligent Dracula I've ever seen in a toon, yet still acted the part of the proper nobleman. All other vampires in the setting that claim to be Dracula are vampires looking to cash in on Dracula's reputation, with the exception of Alucard from the anime Hellsing. When Van Hellsing managed to defeat Dracula roughly 100 years ago, they subjected Dracula to a number of experiments, both mystic and scientific, in an attempt to make Dracula controllable. What they eventually caused was for Dracula to split into two beings. One contained what was left of Dracula's humanity and the qualities he valued when he was truly alive, including his love for combat and his desire for death. The other was virtually everything Dracula had become since the day he gave himself to evil. While both aspects truly consider themselves the "real" Dracula, the latter is in fact the "larger" part of Dracula, and the more powerful of the two. The former took the name Alucard to show his shift in priorities, and became dedicated to simply having a good fight, hoping to be defeated and killed by the humans he envied for their ability to die, while Dracula went on to remain one of the most powerful supernatural forces of evil on the planet. The experiments the Hellsing family performed on Alucard has restored much of his power, but he's still roughly half as powerful as Dracula, and with more limits on his abilities.

International Super-Teams

This is less a definite idea as it as it is a general idea with an open request for ideas. Generally speaking, most of the heroes and heroic groups in the setting are American, and any international heroes generally opperate solo or in relatively small teams, such as all of the characters Goliath and company encountered while passing through the Avalon Mists. The non-American heroes in the JLU could be counted on two hands, tops. Heck, if not for their connection to Wolverine, I doubt Alpha Flight would have made an appearance in the X-Men. In a lot of cases, these solo heroes are probably going to be put into the JLU or Teen Titans, depending on their age.

However, I think the major areas of the world should each have their own Avengers-esque team. England, Russia, Africa, China and Japan should probably each have their own teams, and I'm thinking of maybe trying to make a team dedicated to protecting the European Union with a member from the member countries.

I plan on keeping the members I've added to the JLU on the team to give it a more international feel, but I also plan on making the other teams on par with an average Avengers team, so I'll be shooting for 8-12 members per team. This could potentially be a massive headache, even for me, so if anyone has suggestions for team names or sees someone who doesn't already belong on a team that I could add, please throw me some suggestions, I'll gladly accept them.

Anyway, here's the countries/groups I'm working with so far:

Europe: Excalibur
Simple enough to come up with, Excalibur is an easy fit due to Captain Britain's brief appearance in the X-Men toon. With the Captain on the team, virtually any other team members can be added and it will still feel like an Excalibur team. Most of the classic team is unavailable, however, since to my knowledge Meggan and Shadowcat never appeared in the 90's X-Men toon, and while Rachel Summers and Nightcrawler did exist, neither really has a reason for being in Britain or joining Excalibur. Still, there's got to be other British heroes out there, and if I can't find enough to make up a propper super-team, then I'll just make Excalibur responsible for guarding the entire European Union and draw the membership from all over.

Right now, I'm thinking King Arthur and Griff from Disney's Gargoyles would make good additions to the team, with Arthur actually giving the team's name a bit of authenticity. Psylocke could also make for a good team member, given her link to Brian and no obvious connection to the X-Men. This would give the team a powerhouse (Brian), a fighter with a magic weapon (Arthur), a stealth expert/psychic (Betsy) and mid-level scrapper/tank (Griff) so far. Cammy might make a good addition as a dedicated martial artist as opposed to Psylocke who's more about stealth and her psionics.

And having decided that, unless I find a lot more characters, Excalibur is going to be based in England but deal with super-trouble all over Europe, Rose, Mavrick and Banshee join the team as representative for Italy, Germany and Ireland respectively.

1. Captain Britain
2. King Arthur
3. Griff
4. Psylocke
5. Cammy
6. Mavrick
7. Banshee
8. Rose

Russia: The Winter Guard
Like Excalibur, the Winter Guard is an easy enough group concept to port over. Darkstar and her brother Vanguard are mainstays of the team, so they're both in. With the death of the original Crimson Dynamo over in Iron Man, a new heroic one taking his place works. With Colossus choosing to remain in Russia over in the X-Men cartoon, he could make for a potential member as well, tho I could equally see Peter going join the X-Men. I could bring the Black Widow into the Aniverse, as she has made a cameo appearance, but if I did, she'd be over in the Avengers. Zangief might work as a low-level brick who's also a highly skilled martial artist, as some versions of the character have had Kingpin like super-strength/toughness and have given Ryu a good fight. Necro, also from the Street Fighter series, makes for an interesting "I was turned into a monster but still have the heart of a poet" character, who can also stretch and generate electricity.

Unfortunately, Red Star and Rocket Red are both taken, leaving precious little DC to add.

There's got to be a few Russian heroes I'm forgetting.

1. Darkstar
2. Vanguard
3. Crimson Dynamo
4. Zangief
5. Necro

Africa
I'm stumped for a team name, as to my knowledge there hasn't been an official African supergroup in Marvel or DC, but I could be wrong. With the Black Panther off in the Avengers, Storm off in the X-Men and B'wana Beast (the only white African hero I can think of) in the JLU, the more iconic heroes are thus taken. Anansi the Spider is an illusionist from Static Shock had an interesting look and a rare power for a cartoon hero. Mjnari, Storm's godson, is an enthusiastic speedster. Kraven the Hunter, while Russian by birth, spent most of his time in Africa as a hunter, and could concievably be a member as well since he was genuinely heroic in most of his animated Spider-Man appearances. There's got to be a few Egyptian themed heroes I can add in as well. Elena from the Street Fighter series makes for a decent pure martial artist, but her personality might not support being on a super team.

1. Anasi the Spider
2. Mjnari
3. Kraven the Hunter
4. Elena

China: The Great 10
I figure if its good enough for DC's recent super group, its good enough for me. Still, I might have trouble coming up with ten Chinese heroes for the team. Not to mention it'd be weird to have the most populated nation on Earth have less members than the Avengers, unless the have a lot of reserve members. Goku might make a good choice, given I have him living on the border between both realms, and the team could always do with a powerhouse. Chun Li isn't as powerful as Goku, but is probably more skilled in the way high street level/low mid-level characters usually are, and she's one of the most recognizable Chinese heroines.

1. Son Goku
2. Chun Li

Japan
Due to all the anime that leaves Japan, this'll be the one instance where I have an over-abundance of people to pick from. I might actually have too many options here. The one thing I wouldn't want to do is break up any official teams, so thankfully no Sailor Scouts on the group.

Right now I'm thinking Sunfire as a dedicated blaster, 8-Man from the 8-Man After anime for a speedster, and Yusuke from Yu Yu Hakusho might make a good brawling powerhouse and like the idea of joining a team where he gets to beat up bad guys on a regular basis. Ultraman and Astro Boy are too iconic to not be on the team as well.

1. Sunfire
2. 8-Man
3. Yusuke
4. Astro-Boy
5. Ultraman

If anyone's got any suggestions for any of the groups, feel free to chime in.

I have to admit, I was initially freaked out when I came back and didn't see this topic at the top of the regular discussion topics. It took me a little while to realize it'd been marked up top. Thanks for that, BTW.

I've got to say, the Street Fighter series has been great for filling in slots on the international teams, though now I'm worried about that being almost comical how all but the Japanese team has a Street Fighter on the team.

I'm having trouble with two settings that I don't quite know where to place.

One is the Robocop series that appeared on Saturdays alongside Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and Dino-Riders. Its hard to place primarily because the technology that created Robocop is either too primative or too high-tech for a setting. In Earth's A or F, Robocop would be the laughing stock of the cybernetic community, as virtually any other cyborg out there is so advanced it makes Robocop look crippled by comparison.

On the other hand, he might be too high tech for Earth R, but that's looking like the safest place to put him for now.

The other setting is the Stargate series. Now, there was a brief animated series that supposedly took place in the future of of the SG:1 universe, but was so awful it only lasted a season. What that does allow, however, is for the SG:1 live action series to actually exist in the modern day of whatever world I choose to place it in, which is great because from season 1 to the third to last episode of season 8, the show kicked ass.

The problem is where to put that show. Earth R would be the logical choice for a seemless insertion, as it then explains all "magic" in myth and legend of the setting as just being high tech devices from an alien species, and keeps most of the really high tech stuff under wraps.

On the other hand, there's the desire to put it Earth A where most of the action will be taking place. Not only would the Stargate explain the existence of other worlds that have humans on them, but it would allow for easier crossovers with an interesting cast. Plus, it would allow for a special SG team designed to deal with supernatural occurences and possibly have people from other settings in Earth A that would logically join the military and serve on the unit.

The problem would be that some things in SG:1 lore contradict other settings, such as all "gods" being System Lords or the Asgard, Atlantis being in another galaxy, the idea that the government would keep the Stargate a secret with the existence of aliens like Superman, Starfire and the Transformers existing publically, etc. These issues can actually be fixed with a little management.

Firstly, the System Lords impersonate gods, and eventually believe they are gods due to their sarphogi slowly driving them insane, as well as their own egos. They essentially came in during a period of time when the gods of Earth were involved in a large crisis in another realm. The scope of the battle was such that it was like a year long war for them, but it lasted a hundred years or more on Earth. When the gods returned, the System Lords barely escaped with their lives. The gods would have pursued and destroyed them, but they had to spend that time undoing the damage the System Lords had done to their followers and the world in general. Essentially, most cases of the gods acting with two completely different sets of personalities, being benevolent on the one hand but tyranical on the other, is a result of the System Lords. It was only luck on the System Lords parts that the gods of Earth have decided to be less active in the world of mortals during the last 2,000 years, otherwise their more recent activities would have resulted in the gods coming down to do some serious smoting, though by now the System Lords had achieved enough technical power to perhaps be a threat to most gods.

Secondly, the Asgard are so named because the god Thor once protected the fledgling race from a dire threat. The aliens named themselves the Asgard and chose to honor that pantheon by having their leaders assume the names of gods that best fit them, and spread the virtues Thor had shown them, such as honor, nobility and a willingness to protect those that cannot protect themselves.

The Atlantis connection on Stargate is ignored. Stargate: Atlantis never happens, and the outpost they find is merely an Ancient outpost. As we are using only Seasons 1-8 as absolute cannon, Merlin is not an Ancient, nor were his creations technological in nature. The Ori might make an appearance as possible threats tho.

Finally, the Stargate project remains a secret despite clear alien involvement on Earth for several reasons. One is that the government on Earth has so many secret alien programs that the revelation of even one could reveal the entire web of decite they've woven over the last 50+ years. Another is that they don't want people to know how much influence aliens have had over human history, as it could cause mass hysteria. Another is that it allows them to keep the technology they find to themselves and their allies for gradual release into the private sector.

The head of Stargate Command, currently one Jack O'Niel, would also be part of the regular meetings that take place between the representatives of MIB, Cadmus, BAD, Agent Bishop's agency, G.I. Joe and any other organization that's dealt with aliens, the supernatural, etc.

Right now I'm favoring SG:1 being in Earth A, while I've little idea what to do with Robocop except make him a future of Earth N.

Regarding the Death of Superman animated movie, I'm going to have to wait until it comes out, but I'm interested in figuring out where to place it already. The Brainiac Attacks film is getting sent as some alternate version of Earth-A, something like Earth-A472 to keep it far away from the mainstream version due to how bad it sucked.

The coming film, however, I'm not sure. I could see it being in Earth-U, where there hasn't been a Doomsday and the relative lack of heroes could explain why no one went to help Superman. It'd also explain why Luthor looks so different compared to the Timm version.

However, it could also take place in Earth-A, with the differences in looks merely being cosmetic, and the idea being that Cadmus found the downed craft that contained Doomsday and figured out a way to clone him without completely releasing him. Realizing what they had on their hands, they cross-bred Doomsday's DNA with Superman's, making him smarter but also actually making him less powerful. The intelligence, combined with his fragmented memories, resulted in his initial belief that he was a space conqueror during the fight with the Justice Lords. Going off of this, Death of Superman would take place after the last season of the JLU toon, with Luthor having returned, somehow regaining his company, and Superman having revealed his identity to Lois.

I guess we'll have to wait until it comes out. The fight looks to be pretty kick ass, at the very least.

Realms Without Borders

Certain places of great power in the Aniverse are not limited to the normal boundaries of time and space. Some places actually touch on multiple realms and dimensions, while a select few allow access to any place in the Animated Megaverse itself.

The Earth Realm of Earth-A is itself a nexus that allows for easier transportation between dimensions. Virtually any alternate dimension in the Earth-A universe. As such, Earth itself is highly coveted by certain beings, such as Dormammu, Shao Khan and other interdimensional overlords. Certain groups such as the heroic warriors of Mortal Kombat, work to prevent such beings from gaining a foothold in the Earth realm and thus exploiting it.

The Tower of Fate allows access to virtually any mystic realm within Earth-A, as well as some dimensions across the Aniverse. It does not have the dimensional access capabilities of Dr. Strange's Sanctum, as that is a unique benefit for one who is Sorcerer Supreme of Earth-A, but the Tower itself is still an incredibly potent mystic artifact. Incidentally, while Fate is not Sorcerer Supreme of Earth-A, being the Chosen of Nabu is almost as high an honor, and a contest between the doctors would be an extremely close one. As it stands, the two consider each other equals, though they do have something of a professional rivalry, and confer with one another when it comes to particularly large mystic threats. When working together, they are practically unbeatable.

Dr. Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum mansion is a cross-dimensional nexus, allowing Stephen access to any point across the megaverse if he casts the right spell in the propper room. Ironically, the Sanctum's of the Earth-A, Earth-C and Earth-U Dr. Strange's are linked together and can easily access one another, with all three Dr. Strange's occassionally meeting up to discuss matters.

Kingdom Hearts is another universal nexus that allows access to virtually any realm. To prevent the potential for abuse that such travel allows, the gateways to various realms are can only be accessed if certain individuals are used as "codes" to open the desired pathes. These beings, known as Princesses of Heart, allow access to a certain number of realms depending on the individual qualities of each princess. While it was first believed that only seven specific princesses can be used, any princess that fits the requirements (a heart without darkness in it) can be used to open gateways to other dimensions. In theory, enough Princesses of Heart would allow access to virtually any realm in the Animated Megaverse. So while the original Kingdom Hearts adventure involved Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Alice, Jasmine, Belle and Ariel, they could have just as easily used Peach Toadstool, Zelda, Wonder Woman, Shalla-Bal, Garnet Til Alexandros XVII, Amelia and others that fit the requirements. In fact, using all of these princesses would have only increased the number of gateways Kingdom Hearts could open. If the princesses are willing participants in the ritual, the power of the gateways are increased even futher.

The Rock of Eternity sits in a dimensional nexus that allows the Wizard Shazam and his champion, Captain Marvel, access to all points within time and space, as well as any point in the Aniverse. The Rock was fashioned by Eternity itself so as to give time and space a guardian, as well as to imprison the Three Faces of Evil, the cosmic manefestation of all evil in existence. The Rock itself is impossibly vast, so much so that the Shazam's of both Earth-A and Earth-C make use of it without getting in each other's way, though they do confer with each other when they feel the need. Captain Marvel himself uses the Rock for dimensional and temporal travel, and a unique benefit of his link to Eternity is that no matter what changes are made to the time-stream, the Captain will remain unchanged, allowing him to police time travel and make changes to set the universe back on track.

Sigil
Sigil is a city located in the outer planes of Earth-D, and contains innumerable portals: virtually any bounded opening (a doorway, an arch, a barrel hoop, a picture frame) could possibly be a portal to another plane of existence, or to another point in Sigil itself. This ability to go to virtually any point in aniverse, yet not be truly bound to any one plane has earned Sigil the surname: "The City of Doors." Sigil is watched over by the Lady of Pain, a godlike being of extreme power and unknown motives. What is known is that those who cross her often meet violent ends, and even other gods have been barred from entering the city of Sigil by her will. With the exception of one freak occurance, no god or cosmic being has ever been able to enter Sigil without the Lady's permission, and so far, none have recieved it.

Ravenloft
Ravenloft is unique in that is a realm that is able to access any dimension in the megaverse, but once inside it becomes nearly impossible to leave it. The realm apparently acts as an interdimensional prison for the worst beings in existence, punishing them by binding them to a land and tormenting them with their greatest desires kept just out of reach. While most of its inhabbitants are from Earth-D, there is little preventing the mists of Ravenloft from capturing beings from the entire megaverse.

Shangri-La
An other-dimensional city located in Earth-P, Shangri-La is relatively small city that is open to travelers from all universes due to its unique make up. The city is best known for The Library of Time, a place of ancient knowledge that contains books, scrolls and tomes of all types from all corners of existence. Currently, the Library is guarded by the sage Kahn, a man of incredible intellect who is able to translate virtually any book in the library into a language understandible by a person wishing to examine it. In addition to the Library's own formidable defenses (which prevent violence of any kind from occuring within its walls), Kahn is an expert martial artist, trained by Gouken (Ryu and Ken's master) when he visited the library for a period of time.

Good suggestion, though I'm not entirely sure Starcom really fits unless we can work Robotech into it, since I don't think the Exo-Squad series ever had any aliens in it up until the very last cliffhanger episode. Still, the tech fits an early space exploration era feel to it.

Are you familiar with the idea that the Exo-Squad guys were somehow going to try and fit the Robotech universe into their setting, and if so, any idea how the hell they were planning on doing it?

Quote

True enough. It's just knowing when to place it, since it's weird that most normal people would still be in a Fist of the North Star like conditions 2000 years after some of the shows. Right now my idea is that Thundarr takes place roughly the same time as Appleseed, Mega-Dragon & Tiger and Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, but that North America was hit extremely hard by the disaster and is a focal point for a lot of the weirdness due to radiation levels there causing more mutations and magic, along with evil wizards intentionally keeping people from becoming too advanced in order to control them. Though I pity the poor wizard that ticks off that era's master of Fist of the North Star.

Made some adjustments to the universes.

Earth-X is now the realm with all the satirical shows, placing it closer to Earth-W and Z since it shares some similarities to both.

Earth-P is now home to Freddy Perry's Gold Digger setting.

Reboot has been placed in Earth-R.

Robocop has been placed in Earth-N's near future, along with some of the other settings where the tech isn't as crazy, even in the distant future.

SG:1 has been placed in Earth-A.

Made a minor change to the cosmology, as Earth-K is now the Kingdome Hearts/Disney setting, with Earth-D being home to the various Dungeons and Dragon settings. Also updated the section on areas that allow access to all worlds/dimensions.

Here's a question:

Where do we stick the Fullmetal Alchemist verse? For some reason my initial reaction is to put it on the same world as Naruto/Avatar, but either on another continent or on the other side of the continent the Hidden Villages opperate on. The idea is that it would be a nod to the FMA manga where they did in fact have a country with an Eastern/mixed Chinese & Japanese style to it, with Naruto Ninja filling that slot.

Another idea is to just make the FMA world an alternate universe of Earth-A, though with a vastly different history. That makes for an interesting notion as the FMA timeline would occur right before WWII, and given that the people of that world mirror the people of Earth-A, we could see things in the modern era such as what Superman would be like if he had crashed in the FMA timeline, what the tech is like 60 years later, etc.

Awesome. I hope we can see Majestic show up.

He was a different character in the cartoon. An animated Superman class guy, but he was a hardcore extremist, willing to do whatever it took to win the war against the Daemonites, even destroy Earth.

Kreu, Lightbend and I were talking and Lightbend mentioned maybe having his own cosmic team of heroes that would focus on little used characters like Kyle Rayner, herald of Galactus Nova and a Magestic that freed from that rift he created in his only appearance in the WildCATs cartoon. His experience there would probably give him enough time to reflect and mellow out, so that he's more like his comic counterpart, albiet his more arrogant "I've been doing this for 5,000+ years and I know what to do, so shut up and do what I say" portrayals, which make him a good foil/straight man for guys like Kyle.

I had been planning on perhaps using him as a villain, as he was pretty f-ing crazy in the WildCATs episode, believing that he was the reincarnation of a legendary Kherubim warrior and that destroying the Daemonites would give him the right to possess the Orb and rule the universe.

Interestingly, the animated Majestic had powers his comic counterpart didn't, such as energy beams from his hands, force field generation and telekinesis.

Comic Majestic has all of those powers. He was using them in the Alan Moore run on Wildcats, in Team One: Wildcats, Wildcats Trilogy and in Fire From Heaven.

Didn't know that. Most of the books I've seen him in portrayed him as just having the classic Superman power-set.

Yeah, he has at least 3 more powers than Superman.

Majestic has an "Odinforce" type power, being a Kheran Highlord, though. He's not a solar battery or anything, he's basically the larvae of a cosmic being.

That's just in the comics, though. I doubt there was any explanation like that planned for the toon.

I like both of the ideas you guys had for Majestic.

I read the instance of him becoming a high end cosmic by the end of his book along with Spartan and a few others, and figured that his powers were internally generated as opposed to being solar powered or something else. He never commented on needing an outside source for power. I had been curious why he alone of all the natural Kherans seemed to have nifty superpowers when everyone else is either a warrior like Zealot. I take it all Kheran High Lords have that kind of power?

Well, the idea of Kheran High Lords being that powerful works fine, it'd just be part of their genetic stock. Or maybe they're the Kheran equivalent of Eternals, which explains the high powerlevel when you've got the Eternals of a race of already near-immortal beings.

I think Lightbend should be the one to use Majestic, as his Kyle Rayner/Majestic stuff was entertaining over in the Merged U.

After talking with Kreu, I've decided to keep Waverider on the JLU, but going along with the original idea the creators had, keep Firestorm in as well.

Different genepools have different powersets. Warblade is a shaper. Emp, another Highlord had energy manipulation, just like his brother Lord Entropy. Zealot is part of the standard "base" Kheran that has pure blood, Majestic is a step up from that with flight, energy blasts and increased superstrength. He was evolved further to the version we see the most by Typhon, the alpha male of the Drahn.

I see. I remembered reading a bit out the Shapers Guild in one WildCATs issue I have, and the fact that Maul's people were the actual Kheran natives apparently, but I didn't know the rest. Thanks for clarifying.

Given the differences between the show and comics (Void was the computer of the Kherhan ship, Jacob Marlowe wasn't a Kherubim, Pike was possessed by a Daemonite, etc.), I'll probably put forth that all Kherubim are above peak humans stat-wise who have the potential to become incredible fighters if they train over the centuries. The half-breeds gain superpowers due to mixing Kherubim DNA with the X-Factor that allows humans to become metahumans.

Kherubim High Lords like Majestic will either be what they call the Eternals of their race, believing their abilities to simply be a matter of superior breeding rather than genetic tinkering from the Celestials.

Just added Peter Pan and the Pirates as another dimensional realm in Earth A and outlined a few Alternate Realities for Earth A, including the Justice Lord's world and Fullmetal Alchemist.

Sounds like a good way to blend it all together. Are the gods like Thor actually gods?

Yes they are. entities such as Oberon's children merely pay homage or pretense to those identities, depending on attitude.

I hope we see Puck at some point, I think his portrayal on that series is one of the coolest characters ever.

Well, the last I remember seeing him, he was only allowed to use his powers when training or protecting Xanatos and Fox's child. You could work that kid in somewhere.

I made a note about this in the section on Gods, Demons, Souls and the Realms the Inhabbit over on page two, but its worth revisiting.

To me, it depends on the appearance. Most of the Pantheon style gods that we see in Gargoyles are probably the god themselves in most cases. Anubis and Odin were most likely the gods themselves, albiet Odin's relatively low showing was due to lack of power from his eye being gone and his desire to "fight fairly". In such cases where these beings are said to be Children of Oberon or show Oberon fealty is ignored or edited. Oberon is considered to be a Skyfather class god and peer of guys like Odin and Zeus, and as such some gods such as Odin, Anubis and Coyote turned out to welcome him back when he returned to Avalon. In "The Gathering" part one, however, we ignore Odin's fight with the Banshee or his kneeling before Oberon.

However, in instances where the gods acted in a manner that contradicts their character (such as the spider god Anansi acting as a villain rather than the hero he is suppose to be) is generally a Child of Oberon screwing with the mortals. Given their ties to Arthurian legend, the Lady of the Lake and Merlin are probably both Children of Oberon as well.

Its best to handle such matters on a case by case basis, but generally speaking, if a "god" appeared in Gargoyles and acted pretty much like the god should, then it was probably the god and not a Child of Oberon. Most of Oberon's children have stopped impersinating gods given how badly the gods reacted to the System Lords impersination, and don't want to piss them off.

Given that David Xanatos is a member of my Defenders line-up, you can count on seeing Puck at some point. I've actually got an appearance for him already in mind.

Given the presence of Eternals in Earth-A, I'm thinking of essentially making the New Olympians the Earth Eternals of Earth-A. Secret society of superpowered beings hiding themselves from the world with a very Kirby-esque influence whose powers appear based on science rather than magic? Sounds like a winning combo.

Went back and decided to just make the Star Wars setting part of Earth-A, since it was always something that was supposed to have happened in our reality, just a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

One thing I like about this is that it lets me keep the Tenchi Myo Jurai/Jedi link I had made over in the Merged-U and transfer it over here.

Speaking of which:

In another galaxy, far, far away, in this time long ago, many races joined together, forming a grand Republic, protected by the powerful order of Jedi Knights, a group of gifted warriors that drew on a strange power known only as the Force. The road towards the creation of the Republic was hard and long, as the Jedi's polar opposites, the Sith, strove to spread evil and disharmony throughout the galaxy. Eventually the people of the galaxy and the Jedi succeeded in banishing the Sith for a time, and the Republic was born, enjoying over a thousand years of peace and prosperity, before the coming of a new dark age. Sith had merely gone underground, and through cunning subtrifuge gained control of the Republic, while at the same time, turning the most powerful Jedi against his fellows, shatter the fellowship and leaving the galaxy quaking in fear of this new Emperor, who ruled the galaxy with an iron fist, his will enforced by the fallen Anakin Skywalker, now called Darth Vader.

Hope would not die, however, and a new hope was born in the form of a Rebellion, one to host heroes such as Luke Skywalker, son of Vader. Due to his efforts, and those of his sister Leia, Vader was brought back from the darkness and help to slay the Emperor, though it cost the elder Skywalker his life. The Empire fell, and a New Republic was born, and so to were the Jedi Knights reborn. Peace never lasted long, as new menaces came to threaten the New Republic and their champions, but somehow, they endured and won their wars among the stars.

One group of Jedi set out from their home system to explore the known galaxy. As they left the Outer Rim far behind them, the Jedi accidentally came upon Lady Tokimi, one of the Three Goddesses that was exploring this distant sector of the galaxy. Offended by the Jedi, who had the audacity to approach without permission, Tokimi sought to destroy the Jedi, caring not for whatever excuses they could have hoped to offer. She lashed out at them, and nearly destroyed them before her sister's intervened. One sister surrounded the Jedi's craft, and took the brunt of her sister's final blow, sparing the Jedi within. Then, she merged with the damaged star-craft and became a magnificent space-vessel, and transported those within away.

The Lady Tokimi was shocked at this turn of events, but less even more so when her second sister appeared before her. Her sister informed her that her actions had appalled them both, and that they were leaving her until she had mended the growing darkness within her soul. The sister then blasted Tokimi into unconsciousness, and placed barriers on her that would prevent her from finding either sister with her vast powers. The sister then sent Tokimi to another galaxy, and rejoined her other sister.

The first sister brought the Jedi safely to a planet known as the Heart of the Realm. Weak, exhausted from her wounds and the long journey, the Goddess crashed unto the planet, but spared any Jedi from harm. Those Jedi within discovered that this planet was rich in Force energy. The wounded Goddess explained that this planet was what generated the Force, which was why it only existed in certain parts of the Galaxy, and why only a few beings psionically attuned to the energy could tap into it. The Jedi asked if there was some way to heal the Goddess of her hurts, but she knew of no way. She was grievously hurt, and would die without help.

The second Goddess arrived, and explained to the Jedi that they could save her sisters life. To do so, however, they would have to bond her physical form to the planet, and then bind their life energy to her. Without hesitation, the Jedi agreed, and the first Goddess was bonded to the world, and became a large tree, greater and more magnificent than any in the universe. The Jedi were now bound to this Goddess, and to other trees she would give birth to. However, the bonding had allowed the Jedi to internalize the power that they had only been able to tap into before. They grew powerful, and swore to use that power to not only protect the Lady that they named Tsunami, but to protect all that desired their aid. They named the planet Jurai, and became the Jurains. They mated with the humanoid natives and produced a powerful empire that stretched across the galaxy thanks to their Jurain Trees, which could become large ships to take them across the vastness of space. Many generations later, they re-discovered the New Republic, and learned that it still stood. The Jurain Empire then solidified an alliance with the Republic, and together they brought peace to their sector of the galaxy.

The Second Goddess smiled as all this went about, and assumed a mortal form, securing most of her power into small red gems, keeping only a small portion of her former might for herself. She then set about to really LEARN about the universe around her. If it could produce beings as noble and unique as the Jedi, then it was worth really learning about.

In my infinite wisdom, I have decided that the Earth-A Doctor Albert W. Wily and Heihachi Mishima are in fact twin brothers separated at birth and raised in different parts of the world, each focusing in what could, in some ways, be the opposite area of expertease.

Heihachi: "I have focused on the pursuit of strength, mastery of the body and forging myself into the ultimate living weapon."
Dr. Wiley: "I have mastered the arts of science and robotics, pursuing knowledge and constructing the ultimate weapons of war."
Both: "And I will use my skills to take over the world!"
*long pause*
Both: "We should TOTALLY team up."
