*cracks knuckles*

Alright folks, after a fairly long absence from this board in any true writing capacity (for which I will recieve much well deserved heckling), I've decided to take a stab at trying to get back into the writing groove with a project Kreu, Lightbend and myself had been working on. Its a variant of the Merged U, but one focusing on animated series, and is a multiverse rather than a single universe. I plan on being a lot more envolved with this project, and hopefully this thread and stories that come out of the Aniverse will get some of the creative juices flowing again.

So, without further ado, let me try and get this going.

The Animated Megaverse is a pocket multiverse that was created during the same crisis that created the Merged Universe. However, rather than a single Universe (with a few parallel universes), the Animated Megaverse is a collection of 26 parallel universes, each with it's own Earth and each given a letter designation, such as Earth-A, Earth-E, Earth-Q, etc. Each of these Earth's also has a number of alternate realities that branch off from the main universe, each with its own unique history and versions of the same character. These alternate realities are given a numeric designation if they require referencing. So for example, the Earth with the Dini Justice League is referenced as Earth-A in relation to the other parallel universes, but in relation to the Justice Lords universe, it would be Earth-A1, while the Lords Earth would be Earth-A3. Thus, there is almost an infinite amount of alternate realities branching out from these 26 primary parallel universes.

Dimensional travel is not one of extreme difficulty for this setting, and crossovers between the parallel universes is not uncommon. When traveling to another universe, a character will wind up in the reality most in line with his own. So if someone on Earth-A5 wanted to travel to Earth-V, he would travel to Earth-V5.

What follows next is a guide to the thus far established universes of the Aniverse (as the Animated Megaverse is also called), starting with Earth-Z and traveling backwards until we finally reach Earth-A, the primary universe where most of the action will take place on, and which contains the largest number of animated settings sharing the same setting. This is by no means a complete list of all the settings involved, as even I don't know EVERY single animated show every made, but provides a rough guideline of the shows you would expect to be in each universe.

Earth-Z

Earth Z is an amalgamation of all the anthropomorphic universes, populated solely by humanoid cats, ducks, dogs, mice and what have you. Any universe where it?s mostly one type of animal (like how all the characters are Cats in SWAT Cats) is explained as simply that type being more prevalent in that area. The animals of this Earth have roughly human attitudes towards one another, with some having biases against other species while others are accepting. In most cases, these creatures lack the hunter/prey attitudes found on the creatures on most other Earth's, save for certain individuals who suffer from mental illnesses that cause anti-social behavior, such as Oil Can Harry's obsession with eating mice, despite it not being a socially acceptable behavior.

Settings included in this Earth include:

Present Day
The Adventures of American Rabbit
Camp Lazlo
Count Duckula
Danger Mouse
Disney's Anthropomorphic Series (Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Goofy Troop, Quack Pack)
Mighty Mouse
The Raccoons
Samurai Pizza Cats
The Swat Cats
Underdog
The Wuzzles
Yin Yang Yo

Recent Past
Tail Spin

Distant Past
Cowboys of Moo Mesa
Disney's Robin Hood
Usagi Yojimbo

The Future
Captain Bucky O'Hare

An interesting time/space phenomena occurs when someone attempts to travel to Earth Z. Unless special precautions are taken to arrive in the modern day era, there is a 50% chance that the character will instead land in either the future setting (as Willy DuWitt did in the Bucky O'Hare series) or to the past (as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles do whenever they encounter Usagi Yojimbo).

The Island of Wuzz is basically a Dr. Moreau type place where some mad scientist combined several species of animals together back in the 40's, and after being overthrown by some pulp style heroes, the creatures made their own society and have existed relatively peacefully with the world ever since, though they're essentially the mutants of Earth-Z.

Thus far, the only source of humans in the Earth-Z universe is the planet Mertz, where everyone on the planet is a Superman-class powerhouse.

The Present Day Earth Z is protected by a global superhero team formed by several individual heroes who have decided to band together with former members of the Justice Ducks. This group, renamed the Justice League of Animals and financed by Scrooge MacDuck, is composed of the following members:
-American Rabbit (Leader)
-Mighty Mouse
-Darkwing Duck
-Gizmo Duck
-Morganna
-Speedy Cerviche
-T-Bone & Razor (The SWAT Cats)

Additionally, several teen heroes have joined the T-Squad to form a larger group to hang out and enjoy themselves in addition to fighting crime. This group, known simply as the New Teen Squad includes:
-The Really Incredibly Fast Guy (Huey)
-Brain Boy (Dewey)
-Captain Muscle (Louie)
-The Quivering Quack (Gosalnd)
-Yin and Yang (from Yin Yang Yo)

Earth-Y

Earth Y is a collection of settings where humans and talking, sometimes anthropomorphic, animals live in relative harmony with one another. There seem to be some odd rules regarding certain animals, as some live in parks while others are seen living in houses. The exact social structure is uncertain, as some animals appear to have roughly the same rights as humans, while others are still treated as pets or even eaten despite their intelligence. Every sentient being on the planet seems to instantly recognize their place in the pecking order, though they apparently have difficulty explaining it to people from other parallel universes. As such, most dimensional travelers avoid this realm.

The Present
Alvin and the Chipmunks
The Hanna Barbara Talkin Animal settings (Atom Ant, Grape Ape, Yogi Bear, Quickdraw McGraw)
The Muppet Babies
Ren and Stimpy
Rocky and Bullwinckle
Tennessee Tuxedo
Underdog

The Future
The Loonatics Unleashed

Earth-X

Earth-X seems to contain individuals almost as insane as Earth-W, but most of whom lack the reality warping abilities of those individuals. Interestingly, this Earth seems to contain versions of almost any other character from the other Earths, but as soon as they encounter certain individuals unique to this setting, they suffer extreme pain, humiliation, and sometimes death. Death, however, never really seems to be as permanent a factor here, as many character killed horribly in on way day turn up fine the next.

Earth-X includes the following settings:

The Present
American Dad
Aqua-Teen Hunger Force
The Brak Show
Family Guy
Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law
The Minoriteam
The Simpsons
Space Ghost, Coast to Coast
Soutpark
Venture Bros.

The Future
Futurama
Sealab 2021

Earth-W

Earth-W is populated by individuals who, in most cases, defy conventional classification. It is similar to Earth-Y in that it is populated by both humans and sentient animals. However, unlike Earth-Y, the inhabitants of Earth-W all possess vast reality warping abilities, and most frightening is that it seems their ability to do so is directly proportionate to how crazy they are. Some beings can produce almost any object out of thin air, teleport to virtually any location, transform other individuals into whatever form they wish, alter matter on a fundamental level, etc. Despite the different levels of raw power each individual has, all beings in this realm are virtually indestructible, able to survive rediculous amounts of damage that would cripple or kill even Superman class individuals. While its apparent that such injuries cause the individual being pain, the damage generally goes away within a few moments. It is then fortunate that there is generally a sense of innocent fun that permiates the actions of these individuals, and very few beings here with high levels of power are truly malicious in nature.

Regardless, most dimensional travelers avoid this dimension like the plague, since traveling to this realm does not, in fact, grant one the same levels invulnerability the denizens of this world posses. Furthermore, on the rare instance where an Earth-W individual escapes to another universe, most of the inhabitants try to get that individual back home as soon as possible. While most of these beings merely wish to have some good natured fun, they almost never understand the difference between themselves and other beings. They think that if they smash someone flat with a mallet, that person will simply flatten and then pop back into place once they're able to, instead of being splattered by the force of impact. Thus, many heroes work to get these creatures back home as soon as possible, both to prevent any injuries or deaths on their home world and to prevent the Earth-W creature from dealing with the psychological torment of having permanently killed someone.

Earth-V

Also known as Videoland, Earth-V is home to characters popularized in the various videogames systems. Virtually any video game can be considered to have a counterpart here. Each game world is essentially a pocket dimension that is interlinked to other game worlds via a primary mega-world that is generally associated with a particular game company, such as Nintendo. These mega-worlds are generally known as the Palaces of Power, and are ruled by a royal family whose duty it is to preserve the balance of their system world. Each Palace of Power is similarly linked to the Palace Prime, where the rulers of each video game sector may meet in times of crisis. However, such meetings are very infrequent, as the inhabitants of different sectors do not easily get along with each other. Most inhabitants are actively hostile to beings of other sectors, though once the offender has left, the character often has a hard time explaining why he felt such hostility. This hostility supposedly dates back to an unknown conflict dubbed simply "The Console Wars", though recent events have caused a major upheaval in the Videoland community.

The Nintendo ruler is presently Princess Lana, who has summoned Earth-A video game expert Kevin Keene to act as her champion in the war against Mother Brain, primary villainess of the Nintendo sector. Renamed Captain N, it was Kevin's duty to lead the N-Team against Mother Brain's various plots to take over the Nintendo sector.

Captain N recently discovered that he is the chosen protector of only a part of the entire video game realm. On one mission, he discovered the each mega-sector of Videoland has its own Captain, who like Kevin, were drawn from Earth-A. Since the Captains were not native to Videoland, they lacked the innate hostility the other people in their sector had, and could work together peacefully. The group learned of a coming crisis, and vowed to work together to defend against it.

However, the Crisis of Infinite Systems hit harder than the Captains could imagine. Captains Genesis and Neo-Geo perished in the conflict after being betrayed by Captain TurboGrafx-16, who also died in the Crisis, and with the deaths of these Captains the invasion force could systematically destroy the sectors they protected. Ultimately, Captain Atari sacrificed his life in a final showdown with the villain responsible for the attack, buying the inhabitants of the doomed sectors to escape to other sectors that could support them. The crisis somehow undid the latent hatred of the Console Wars, and the beings from now destroyed sectors were allowed to find homes in new sectors, with the Palaces of Power pooling their resources to create new game worlds for the characters. The surviving Captains (Captain N, Captain PS, Captain X and Captain PC) now work together on a much more regular basis to prevent this kind of crisis from ever happening again, while working to help diplomatic relations throughout the dimensions.

Recently, it has been discovered that certain Videoland worlds exist simultaneously in more than one sector, and some are linked to all four of the surviving ones. Using these certain worlds, one can access any of the megaverses and travelers in the videogame realms have started mapping out these dimensions.

Captain N has also discovered that his allies will occasionally get ?up-graded? as newer versions of their games come out. Simon Belmont has been replaced by Richter Belmont, Megaman by Megaman X, and so forth. Additionally, Kevin's weapons have been up-graded as well. His primary weapon is now the Wii nunchaku, though he still keeps his old zapper with a feed to his old belt system. Since his belt is now used exclusively to power his zapper, it has virtually unlimited ammo, while his nunchaku gives him a wider range of abilities than his belt did, including the ability to generate a laser blade for close combat.

Captain N now heads a team composed of best and brightest of his sector, including Mario, Link, Richter Belmont, Megaman X, Samus, Sonic and many more.

Series in Earth-V include:

Captain N and the Game Masters
Chrono Trigger
Dragon?s Lair
Earthworm Jim
Legend of Zelda
Megaman
Pac Man
Sonic the Hedgehog
Space Ace
Street Fighter II
Super Mario Bros

Earth-U

Earth-U is an "Ultimate" universe where classic characters have undergone some reimagining, allegedly to make the characters more modern or realistic. On this world, superhumans are a relatively new phenomena, with Captain America being the first recorded superhero and the only superhero of the second World War. Since that time, many other superheroes have popped up, along with a growing mutant population and the emergence of gods and aliens that walk among the planet. Since this Earth has not had as much time to adjust to superheroes as other universes, the public is not as accepting or trusting of them, nor do the superhumans of this universe get along as well as others.

Series included in Earth-U are:

The Batman (including his version of the JLA)
The New Fantastic Four
The Spectacular Spider-Man
Wonder Woman (from the latest DC animated film)
Ultimate Avengers
Ultimate Iron Man
Ultimate Dr. Strange
X-Men Evolution

I figure any existing video game can be included as having its own world in Earth-V. So Kratos probably is going around mauling people in his own world, other video game characters just make sure to avoid that place at all costs. Even most villains think Kratos is more trouble than he's worth.

Earth-T

Earth-T would more accurately be called Universe-T, as it is a setting that spans several galaxies. It is a universe where humanity has journeyed to the stars, using means either scientific or mystic and sometimes both, to get there.

As overpopulation began to threaten the planet, humanity focused on potential ways to escape Earth and start new lives elsewhere. However, before a truly reliable method of space travel could be found, wars broke out for contol of dwindling space and resources on Earth. The damage done to the planet was so extensive that the surviving members of humanity were forced to use experimental space craft to leave the planet en-masses in a huge space exodus, hoping that, in time, the planet would heal itself enough for them to return. Only a select few pockets of humanity chose to remain behind and try to repair the planet. After most of humanity departed, the undead wizard Mumm-Ra awoke from his slumber, and took this oppertunity to destroy much of what had remained of humanity's influence on the Earth, and his actions caused the damaged planet to shift even more, becoming a strange place full of amazing locations and strange creatures.

Meanwhile, the fleet of human spacecraft made their way through space at a slow pace. Several experimental means of space travel were created to try and improve their progress, some utilizing bio-tech individuals as power sources, others that took the rare, mystic element dragonite and used it to bend space/time to allow for FTL travel. Both of these methods were eventually deemed unreliable, but several groups of humans decided to use them anyway to explore space on their own. One space craft crashed on a desert planet due to the machinations of one of the bio-tech beings, forcing that group of humans to strive for survival in a harsh environment. Those powered by dragonite actually discovered a sector of space where the mineral was more plentiful, as well as several alien species. These humans carved out their own empire in space.

Time passed for the humans in the primary fleet, until they encountered a space/time disturbance that flung them off course and caused them to lose the position of their original homeworld. Several ships were flung to the far corners of existence, and had to survive on their own. However, the main human fleet eventually found their way to a new planet similar enough to their original world to colonize it, and renamed the planet New Earth, though it was often simply refered to as 'Earth'. These humans eventually encountered several alien races who, in return for humanity's aid in fighting several oppressive alien races, would give humans reliable FTL technology. Now humans again took to the stars, but this time it was of their own choice. Treaties were made with other alien races, eventually culminating into a Galaxy Alliance. Several specalized organizations were formed to protect the Alliance, including the Silverhawks and the Galaxy Rangers, whose membership included Marshal Bravestarr. The discovery of a mysterious, ancient robot known as Voltron also aided in protecting humanity. Humans eventually discover some of their lost breatheren, who had made their own civilizations or become part of other alien cultures. Due to the nature of the time/space warp that had separated them, some of the human civilizations discovered were as old or older as the New Earth civilization, which by now was several hundred years old. One of these planets, Primus, used a form of time travel to bring a champion from the past to protect their world, known as He-Man.

Meanwhile, the planet Thundera was destroyed during a battle with their enemies, the Mutants. A surviving ship that contained the Thunderian nobility (known as Thundercats) eventually made its way to the original planet Earth, where they colonized and formed alliances with the people that had come to inhabit the planet, including several surviving groups of humans.

Series included in Earth-T are:

Blackstar
Bravestarr
Galaxy Rangers
Jayce and the Wheel Warriors
New Adventures of He-Man
Outlaw Star/Angel Links
Silver Hawks
ThunderCats
Tiger Sharks
Trigun
Voltron

Nah, the Timm-verse is part of Earth-A, along with a hefty chunk of most of the animated settings. The Timm-verse is just too good to not have as part of the primary setting.

Earth-S

If Earth-U is a modern day reimagining of classic superheroes, Earth-S is if those same heroes had never left the Silver Age. Set in the late 60's/early 70's, the heroes of this world are seeing a resurgence of superhero activity after a lull that took place after WWII.

Series included in Earth-S are:

DC's New Frontier
Fantastic Four (1967 series)
Marvel Superheroes (1960's series)
Superman (Fleischer)
Spider-Man (1967 series)

Earth-R

Earth-R, on the surface, appears to be a normal world, at least to the adults that live there. Unbeknownst to them, however, there exist beings that live amongst them who try to keep their presence a secret. These beings are sometimes discovered by children, who befriend them and help them in whatever ways they can. These include miniature humanoids, sentient toys, animals with human level intelligence, etc.

Earth-R settings include

The Carebears
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers
The Computer Warriors
Dinosaucers
Garfield and Friends
The Great Mouse Detective
Heathcliff
The Littles
My Little Pony
My Pet Monster
Punky Brewster
Rainbow Bright
Reboot

Earth-P

Earth-P is a world much like Earth-A in that it is a string of contradictions. Powerful magic exists alongside great technology. Ancient mysteries of the past have in fact been influenced by beings from the far future. Creatures from myth and legend thought to be simple imaginary creatures exist, having migrated to the fantasy world of Jade. Were-creatures exist, though the numbers of each species varries greatly, with the werewolved and wererats thriving while the werecheetah species was almost completely wiped out. At the heart of the magic and mystery that surrounds is the Diggers family, a household that includes a powerful mage father, his martial arts warrior wife and their natural scientist/archeologist/adventurer daughter, as well their adopted werecheetah daughter and her alien husband. And then you've got their friends, family and foes, who are really weird.

Earth-P includes the following settings:

Gold Digger (and by extension, whatever we want of the Antartic Press Universe)

Earth-O

Earth-O is sometimes refered to as Earth Omega, as its a setting where the question of what a true post-apocalyptic Earth would look like is revealed. After a passing comet causes great geological damage to the planet, a nuclear war for the remainder of the world destroys much of what was left of civilization. Humanity has to slowly recover even as the planet begins to heal itself, with the reimergance of creatures thought long since extinct, the return of the power known as magic, and the birth of a race of beings mutated by the strange new world. Pockets of humanity eventually become cities that attain some resemblance to an actual high-tech civilization, but these few cities are the exception, not the rule, as most of Earth remains incredibly damaged by the disaster.

Earth-O contains the following settings:

Near Disaster Era
Desert Punk
Fist of the Northstar

Age of Recovery
Appleseed
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs
Mega-Dragon and Tiger
Thundarr the Barbarian

Earth N

Earth-N, as far as universes go, is a fairly normal universe. Super advanced technology is rare, there are no naturally occuring superpowered individuals and magic simply does not exist. Still, such a world still has a need for heroes, as criminal organizations and terrorist groups make bids for power with startling regularity.

Earth-N settings include:

Present Day
Chuck Norris and the Karate Komandos
Diabolik
James Bond Jr.
Mister T
Rambo and the Freedom Force
Speed Racer

Near Future
Robocop

Space Exploration Era
Starship Troopers: Roughnecks

Inner-Sphere Era

Earth-M

Earth-M appears, on the surface, to be a normal world without anything remarkable save for a higher tech-level in some instances. However, in the world are artifacts of mystic power, as well as the means to travel to other worlds/dimensions within this universe, each of whom contains a strange collection of small creatures that, with the propper training, become powerful monsters that will fight on their owners behalf. Many characters also concern themselves with the collection of items of power, from cards based on an ancienct Egyptian game to oriental weapons of great power.

Earth-M settings include:

Present
Digemon
Xioalin Showdown
Yu-Gi-Oh

Earth-K

Earth-K, like Earth-V, is not a world in itself, but a collection of pocket dimensions (known simply as "worlds") that are linked together by an invisible path that can be traversed witht he propper equipment. At the center of this dimension is Disney Castle, ruled by King Mickey and his aids. From this castle is possible to access Kingdom Hearts, the road that leads to all other dimensions. Each dimension is essentially a self contained world existing in its own time and place. However, some worlds contain more than one Disney hero.

Earth-K settings include:

The Magic Kingdom
Kingdom Hearts
Mickey Mouse and Company

The World of Myth
Aladdin
Emperor's New Groove
Hercules
Mulan
Sword in the Stone

The World of Fantasy
Black Cauldron
Gumi Bears
Sleeping Beauty
Snow White

The World of the Fantastic
The Incredibles
Lilo and Stitch
Nightmare Before Christmas

The World of Toys
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Toystory

The World of Animals
1001 Dalmations
The Aristocats
Bambi
Finding Nemo
Fox and Hound
Lady and the Tramp
Lion King

The World of Victoria

Earth-H

Earth H contains various settings from the Hanna-Barbara shows, most notably those who generally have a more heroic/adventure/mystery solving theme to them, though there are some settings that are simply creepy and kooky.

Earth-G

Earth-G takes place in a future setting where mankind has created orbital space colonies on which to thrive. However, even with the creation of these colonies, the technological achievement most unique to the setting is the prevalence of mecha known as Mobile Suits, the most fameous of which is the Gundam class Mobile Suit. The setting also includes the emergence of psychic individuals, known as Newtypes, who possess a wide range of abilities that many use to improve their skills as a Mobile Suit pilot.

In addition to the primary setting, this particular parallel universe is unique in that many of the alternate realities native to it are not simply mirror image universes where one event was different, but often radically different worlds with unique histories, physics and styles. Dimensional travel to this universe will generally bring one to the G1 universe, but unless special precautions are taken beforehand, it is possible to wind up in any of its sister alternate realities.

Earth-G settings include:

Earth-G1
Mobile Suit Gundam
Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team
Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: A War in the Pocket
Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack

Earth-G2
Mobile Fighter G-Gundam

Earth-G3
Gundam Wing

Earth-G4
Gundam X

Earth-G5
Gundam SEED

Earth-F

Earth-F is a near future setting, where the world is on the brink of a technological revolution. While many cities still have only slightly better than 21st century tech, certain cities in the world have advanced technology due to recent innovations. While there are no known naturally occuring superhumans, the potential for superhuman powers exist within many individuals, which can be brought out through scientific experimentation, mystic training, or exposure to energies from the Entity of the Moon. Similarly, many individuals use high-tech weaponry to simulate superhuman abilities, including cybernetic enhancement, power armor, advanced robots, vehicles and mecha, etc. These individuals are generally refered to as "Ultras" and are a relatively new phenomenon. There also exist a wide assortment of strange species on the planet, including giant monsters, underground civilizations, aliens, and so forth.

Earth-F settings include:

Earth-E

Earth-E is set a few hundred years into the future, where humanity has colonized several planets in the solar system, mastered a technology that includes genetic engineering and synaptically controlled exo-skeletons called E-Frames. Home to the Exo-Squad series. While certain Neo-Sapiens possessed superhuman abilities, there were no naturally occuring superhumans in the setting. Supposedly the show was going to crossover with Robotech, and as soon as I figure out a good way how, it'll get included as well.

Earth-F includes:

Space Exploration/Colonization Era
Starcom

Modern Era
Exo-Squad

Earth-D

Earth-D is a realm where magic is not only widely believed, but a force that is widely used, much moreso than science in most cases, unlike other Earth's. Most realms are filled with creatures who have evolved differently due to the prevelance of mystic energies, with monsters, gods, demons and dragons of all kind existing in a variety of worlds. At the heart of existence is the city Sigil, from which anyone can access virtually any place in existence. In the Prime Material Realm, many worlds exist, each similar to the rest yet unique in its own make up due to influence from gods, powerful mystic forces and each world's own unique structure (such as Mystara, whose center is hollow and contains a miniature star inside of it, creating a world within as well as without). In one such world, known simply as the Realm, a group of teenagers from Earth-A were teleported to Earth-D via a dimensional rift, and must now try to find a way back home while dealing with the greatest evil force of that world, the half-demon Venger.

Earth-D settings include:

The Prime Material Plane
The Realm (Dungeons and Dragons animated series)
Dragonlance
Eberron
The Forgotten Realms
Greyhawk
The Iron Kingdoms
Mystara
Ravenloft
Spelljammers

Planescape
Sigil

Earth-C

Earth-C is a universe that, like Earth's U and S, has many versions of heroes native to Earth-A. These varriants are generally closer to their Earth-A counterparts that the others mentioned, but are generally more straight laced, sometimes to the point of being rather corny at times. However, the wide variety of heroes means that the world is well protected, which is fortunate given the wide array of strange villains that exist.

Earth-C settings include:

The Present
Fantastic Four (80's version with HERBIE)
The Filmation Ghostbusters
Freedom Force + Space Sentinels
Hero High
Incredible Hulk
Plastic Man
Shazam
Spider-Man/Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends
Spider-Woman
Superman (80?s)
Superpowers: Galactic Guardians
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (80s)
X-Men (Pilot/Amazing Friends ep)

Off World
He-Man
She-Ra

Earth-B

Earth-B isn't truly a single dimension, but a collection of possible futures that

Not an actual dimension, but a collection of possible futures that could affect Earth-A at one point. While the timeline for Earth-A is relatively stable, there is a gab between its Near Future and the 30th Century that could potentially be filled by any of the following futures. Attempting time travel to the point between the years 2100 and 2900 will result in being randomly to one of the Earth-B dimensions unless propper precautions are taken to enter the propper realm the traveler seeks.

Earth-B settings include:

Battle Angel Alita
Cashan - Robot Hunter
Cowboy Bebop
Cyber City Odo
Godannar
Highlander: The Animated Series
Neon Genesis Evangellion
Robotech
Samurai Jack

*PHEW*

Well, that's the basic outline of the Aniverse thus far. I plan on going back and incorporating other series that I've neglected into appropriate universes, but as far as major and minor animated series that could be used by the writers here, I think this is a fairly good starting list.

Next up will be some notes on the various links between the settings in Earth-A, including how the Silver Surfer series fits in with the other Marvel shows, the connection between Cobra-La, the JoStar family and the Guyvers, the evolution from Avatar to Naruto, and other such story potentials.

So they should. South Park anyway. I'll let someone else create a Puppet Megaverse. Smiley Thanks for pointing that out tho.

And if anyone else sees any series that I missed, feel free to point them out.

That's always a hard choice as to which setting goes where, but I don't want to simply have one show in several universes, as I think that works against the relative uniqueness we're trying to give each universe.

I am interested in hearing which settings you think might do better in Earth-A than in another universe, and vice versa.

Okay, I'll be going back through the universes later to add/swap around settings later, but the next few posts are going to be focusing on establishing links in Earth-A or explaining how certain series fit in. So I might as tackle one of the bigger headaches involved:

The 90's Silver Surfer Series

During the 90's, Marvel had a pretty tight animated universe. Several different shows all had a sense of continuity by using the same voice actors and character in series not their own. We saw Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four and the Hulk all crossover with each other to different degrees through the course of their shows, and certain characters like Thor appeared in multiple shows.

However, throwing everything off was two shows: Avengers-United They Stand, and the Silver Surfer. The Avengers show will get its own post next, but first, lets take a look at the Surfer's show.

I'd actually considered not using the show, due to its somewhat boring nature at times, its lack of continuity with the other shows, and the way it bastardized certain characters like Beta Ray Bill and Adam Warlock. However, the number of character appearances in the series, and thus the ability to use them in the Aniverse, outweights my problems with the show. So instead, it's time to do a little continuity re-writing.

The Silver Surfer's origin is as it was shown in the first episodes of his solo series. However, once they get to Earth, the Fantastic Four toon's continuity takes over and reinacts the Surfer's betrayal and subsequent imprisonment on Earth, including the points where Doom steals his power twice, Terrax is selected as a Herald and Nova becomes the new Herald of Galactus. Eventually, however, Reed is able to help the Surfer escape from Earth, and then the Surfer's solo series picks up again as he searches for Zenn-La and encounters numerous characters along the way.

Eventually, in episode 13, Thanos had succeeded in compressing space/time back to its original Pre-Big Bang state. The Surfer, Thanos and Death were the only beings left, along with the sphere that had the potential to become existence. The series ends, mercifully, with a cliffhanger, and thus open to fan interpretation. The creators have posted up what they would do next, which I use as a rough guide for what follows, though given what they did to some of the characters, I do not feel obligated to use things exactly as they set it down.

In essence, the Surfer managed to steal the orb that contains the potential for life from Thanos, and even though Thanos has him defeated, he is able to bring that orb in direct contact with Death. The potential for all life meets the avatar of death, and the resulting explosion re-creates the Big Bang, re-starting the universe. That version of Thanos is destroyed in the conflict, though Eternity protects the Surfer from the force of the explosion and transports him back to his propper place in Space/Time.

However, due to the Surfer's direct influence in the re-creation of existence, the lifes of beings he had direct contact with are somewhat changed, some in small ways, others in large ones, all due to his subconcious desires and thoughts about the individuals, similar to the Genis Vell effect.

The Watchers had no longer been reduced to a single individual, and were again a thriving society who watched but did not interfere.

Pip and his trolls were no longer a servator race of the Kree, being their own species that had occured naturally.

Adam Warlock had not been created by the aliens of a long dead society, instead having been created by the High Evolutionary on Earth. Warlock eventually left Earth to wander the space ways.

Beta Ray Bill's people had evolved slightly differently, having a more humanoid appearance, yet Bill's own appearance remained due to his willingness to sacrifice his humanity to become their protector. He eventually encountered the thunder god Thor, and was gifted with the warhammer Stormbreaker.

With no plague to reduce the Watchers to virals, Nebula and her crew remain free to plunder the space ways.

Mentor has given up his quest to destroy his brother Thanos, and is instead content to rule over the Eternal race they both belong to on the Moon of Titan. Drax, however, pursues Thanos on Mentor's behalf, his android body instead a homunculus of cosmic powered matter.

Thanos remains, though the Surfer's subconcious fear of the Titan's abilities, as well as his pity for the Titan's deranged state, have lead the current Thanos to be less unhinged and more rational in his endevors, though sadly no less dangerous. There is now, however, a small part of Thanos that feels unworthy of Mistress Death's love, a part that may subconciously hinder his plans for ultimate destruction.

The Wanderers wander no more, having found a world devoid of sentient life to colonize and start over. Gamora, being ill suited for such a life, has decided to continue her travels and use her unresolved anger and loss as fuel for her training to become the most dangerous woman in the galaxy.

Sadly, the Surfer could not prevent the coming of Galactus, the deaths of thousands of worlds or his own part in the tragedy, as to do so would have prevented him from being able to prevent Thanos from destroying reality. Galactus still travels with his herald Nova, and the Surfer still searches for Zenn-La's new place in existence.

Simlarly, the Surfer could not make the Kree or Skrull any less warlike than they were. Their galactic war continues to this day.

In addition to the above characters, the Surfer series allows for the introduction of other characters to Earth-A.

Both the Richard Rider Nova and Jack of Hearts appeared as crewmen aboard Nebula's ship. My interpretation is that they were preforming undercover work together, infiltrating the pirates so that the Nova Corps could locate and defeat them once and for all.

The Elder of the Universe Champion was also shown in the series, allowing for the other Elders to exist as well.

With presence of the Titan Eternals, the Earth Eternals and existence of the Celestials is justifiable.

So, with a little tweaking, we have the Surfer's adventures fit better into Earth-A continuity and get several Marvel characters to include in Earth-A's setting.

Next up, the Avengers.

Avengers - United they Stand

While as difficult to get through as the Silver Surfer series at some points, Avengers-United They Stand is a lot less trouble to work into Earth-A. It also introduces characters and concepts that need much less work to re-imagine and fit the general feel of the setting. Kang in particular, though having a horrid appearance, is easy to fix as he's a time traveler and could come back with in presumably any form he wishes. Even Ultron's final form in the show looked like he was wearing Monarch's armor, which actually looked good on the villain. The Masters of Evil work just fine as is, as do the Zodiac cartel.

The main thing to resolve is the overal "90's Image"-esque feel the series. The power armor and military feel of the show had the Avengers looking more like Youngblood than Earth's Mightest Heroes. Hawkeye looked frighteningly similar to Liefeld's Shaft. I've decided to go with the explination used by the comic book that the heroes sporting the armor were injured during a battle with Ultron and needed the armor for any action above normal human activity, as well as helping their bodies heal quicker. The Falcon wore the armor at Pym's request, as Hank was still a bit paranoid over Avengers injuries at that point.

Later on, once the Justice League's Thanagarian conflict had ended and the League upgraded itself into an international team, the Avengers and former Avengers decided it was time to do the same to live up to their billing as American's primary superhero group. By this point, all of the Avenger's injuries had healed, and the members no longer had to wear the cumbersome battle armor. The Wasp, similarly, no longer had to rely on the armor for her attack powers, as her body had healed enough for her wasp-sting to function again, which was more powerful than her armor's gear anyway. The only person who chose to keep his armor was Hank, as the armor afforded him protection, sported several scientific devices he could use in the field, and had his mobile flight vehicle for when he had to travel solo. However, all of the Avenger's costumes were upgraded to the skintight kevlar/titanium weave armor vigilantes like Batman used. The Vision, in an effort to become more human, had also been gradually replacing his obvious mechanical parts with synthetic parts that more closely mirrored the function of human biology. By the time the Avengers were ready to start again, he resembled the form seen in the Fantastic Four cartoon rather than in the Avengers show.

Additionally, with all the various problems that had pulled them away from the Avengers resolved, most of the members returned to the group. Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, the Black Panther, Quicksilver, Hercules and Namor rejoined the team, while former Force Works members War Machine, Spider-Woman and Century joined as well. Jack of Hearts returned from his mission in space and was accepted into the team, and combining Jack's efforts with Century's psionic powers, they were able to bring Ms. Marvel out of her coma and restore her powers as well. Carol rejoined the Avengers in an effort to build a new life for herself.

As of now, the Avengers total roster is 20 strong, though generally speaking there are only 10 Avengers who are on full active duty. The rest are on stand-by status to be called in if the Avengers need their special abilities or simply more numbers for the mission they're on. The standard configuration for the Avengers is:

Captain America
Thor
Iron Man
Scarlet Witch
Vision
Hawkeye
Wonder Man
Tigra
Ms. Marvel
Wasp

The rest can be called at any time to come in and aid the team.

I had considered adding Beast to the roster, but as Kreu pointed out, he's the only tech guy the X-Men have. Ah well.

The Avengers have been moved to Washington DC to act as the defenders for America's capitol in case of crisis, with either their new Quinjets or the powers of those like Thor able to get them to virtually any place in the country within an extremely short span of time. Given the superheroes present in New York, the Avengers don't feel bad no longer being there.
