I know you're a fan, Duckboy. Loved it. Its covering old ground but Philip Glenister is always amazing and esspecially so in that. Your thoughts?

I got through all of 4 lines in that song before turning it off.
In other news, I leave for Florida after work today, then to the Poconos Monday. No work for a week and a half!! I'm hoping the break will keep the hate in check.

I'm having a break this year, it's called Summer. Student scumbagdom is glorious.
And if you only lasted four lines you missed the little kid president nuking the world! 9 out of 10 Politicians fear rap satire!

Anyways as to the lanky Canadian royal visit. Hopefully I'll be able to make it down for the inevitable booze up but you do seem to be coming right at the end of term so I may have exams, not sure how the year is structured yet.
Plus I'm buggered if I'm organising a night out a year in advance, e-mail the Britpacks self appointed social secretary (ie Nick) in may like a normal person.
Then e-mail me so I can do all the work.

Is that a resigned shrug a dismissive shrug or an offended shrug? Cause honestly I was going for offensive.

Anyways as to the lanky Canadian royal visit. LANKY he says. LANKY? Negro, please. Hopefully I'll be able to make it down for the inevitable booze up but you do seem to be coming right at the end of term so I may have exams, not sure how the year is structured yet. Fuck your "exams" You need to be drank under the table by a Canadian, you fucking upstart. Plus I'm buggered if I'm organising a night out a year in advance, e-mail the Britpacks self appointed social secretary (ie Nick) in may like a normal person. I know he loves doing that stuff, which is why I keep mentioning it. Then e-mail me so I can do all the work. He can do that. Fuck you. Is that a resigned shrug a dismissive shrug or an offended shrug?
Cause honestly I was going for offensive. Oh, honestly? Honestly honestly? Ok, well, honestly, I didn't care. You're Siythe, you like to be a dick. It's why I like you. Although Nick did take me aside one time, electronically, and ask me if I hated you for how horrible you are.

To respond to other comments on this page:
Fuck you Nick, Downey Jr was only good as Tony Stark, and lets face it, can it be considered acting for him to play an obnoxious alcoholic?
John Simm, OTOH, is greatness
As to Oats coming over *gets flags out*
I know it's a year away but I like to be prepared well in advance
As such Im off to Superdrug for some vaseline and Trojans

Wasnt the first thing that lept out at me to be honnest but then I'm not a Mag's fan. Still its from the same team that did WWH Vs. X-men mini so if nothing else the fights should be cool. Hell we may even get a good plot.

What was the first thing that lept to mind?
We will also get a Magneto/Apocalypse tussle, which should be interesting.
By interesting, I mean awesome because it's clear already Magneto wins.
It's just so rare to see Magneto use energy blasts, I'm always very happy when I see it.

Watching 'Would I Lie To You' last night.
I think both Lee Mack and David Mitchell are great, and the guests are usually good too. But outside of his usual 'Have I Got News For You' spiel and reading the questions, Deaton generally does fuck-all, in stark contrast to hosts of similar shows, like Stephen Fry, Simon Amstell, Dara O'Breian and even Nick Hancock. What makes it worse is watching the guests at the beginning pretending to laugh at Deaton's scripted 'jokes'. Makes me pine for Paul Merton.
The last show was unusual because Deaton actually made ONE genuinely amusing adlibbed comment, and it made me realise how shit he is the rest of the time.
Beeb shouldn't have rehired him IMO. On the other hand, at least he doesn't take away from Mitchell and Mack's time cracking jokes.

Once you get past the guests fake-grinning at the beginning, it's a very funny show. Probably my favourite panel game after 'QI' and IMO it's generally funnier than 'QI'. Just not QUITE as INTERESTING.
'QI' also seems content to have a revolving panel of about 12 guests now, like Jo Brand, Bill Bailey, Jimmy Carr and Sean Lock. 'Would I Lie To You' goes a bit further with its guests, including 'serious' actors', 'celebrities' and that kind of thing.

Hmmm, looking at the Wiki page for the next series of 'QI', looks like they'll be bringing in some interesting new guests:
Hugh Dennis Ben Miller Marcus Brigstocke John Sergeant Emma Thompson Dom Joly
and
MOTHERFUCKING TERRY WOGAN!!!1!

Wogan? For serious?
Dom was on last series IIRC
I like the carousel of QI guests, it feels familiar and they all have something of a chemistry and understanding. It is nice when people like Hugh Laurie turn up though and I'm looking forward to seeing Hug Dennis and Ben Miller on there
I have mixed feelings about Marcus Brigstock joining the show I have to say

I've liked his work on 'Have I Got News For You' He was one of the guests on probably my favourite episode ever ... the one where everyone gangs up on that prick Kilroy. Des Lynham was hosting IIRC
