I recently watched a PBS documentary on theoretical physics in which a professor argued that there are an infinite number of parallel universes, each containing a copy of ourselves. The differences between us and our copies in the parallel universes can either be slight or drastic. The professor said that the reason we don't perceive the parallel universes is because they are in other dimensions. So, if we take the professor's premise to be true, then might that not be a plausible explanation for ghosts? Perhaps an energy anomaly enables people to interact with people from another dimension at times.
I disagree. One of the most vivid times I saw a ghost is my friend who was murdered, who came to visit me before anybody even found out that he was dead, as a ghost (essentially he came to visit me before he left this realm behind). On top of that, during my astral projections I have seen plenty of ghosts wandering around.
