It's a difficult process to describe but Bendis noted that he's always listening to everything around him at all times in terms of how he trains his brain

This reminds me of the time Bendis talked about researching Voodoo folklore and whatnot when he was doing the Search for the next SS. He went on and on about how cool it was but in the end he basically said he decided to do his own spin on Voodoo magic. So all of his research meant nothing.

Can't openly endorse Bendis's assassination ....but if he were to have an unfortunate accident...

I don't know about that.  Remender kinda said the same thing but what he said made sense.  If you take Voodoo from the real world into the comic world it wouldn't quite fit so he had to change some aspects for comics.

Maybe thats what he mean't.

Sure, "real world" voodoo is an entirely different concept than what we normally see in fiction even in practice.  Despite that, at least the mythology of it is pretty damn cool and a lot could be done with it.

You know what I don't think I said that.  What I'm simply saying is that if you take something from the real world certain aspects are usually changed to fit comics.  I think you know what I mean when I said real and im not sure if we need to get into a semantical debate.

That post was more in reference to Bendis' attitude.

Im not sure if Bendis' attitude to portraying voodoo in comics was really anything bad at all.  Its possible somebody might have taken what he said out of context.

Got a link by any chance?

Ugh!  Not on me I think I've listened to several podcasts and I can't quite remember which one it was.  If I have time I'll try and look for it but don't hold your breath.
