Stephanie should be high based on storylines she was in. Lita's lower than I thought...but to hell with her.
And Kelly Kelly is a great choice! I mean, you put her in a six diva tag and don't tag her in...you win! She's the greatest good luck charm ever!

Weird to see Alundra Blayze and Chyna each ranked so high given their current realtionships with WWE.
And what the hell has Michelle McCool done thats more Impactful then Beth Phoenix?

Sable practically defined what a "Diva" was in the modern sense- not sure why people are arguing she should be lower. She was an awful worker, but come on. McCool at #10 is an embarassment, as she's barely even a star.

That list is an absolute farce.
Lita is top five material, anyway. She was 1A in the best era for women in the WWE ever. Stephanie is way too high. Molly seems too low. Elizabeth is too low. And no Victoria? Am I not seeing her? Get the fuck out of here if she's not listed.

QFT a thousand times over. Whatever her shortcomings as a performer, Sable made the WWF a TON of money in the Attitude era. For my money, she was a bigger draw then than anyone other than Austin, Rock and possibly DX. For similar reasons, Liz should go higher ... she didn't draw like Sable did but she was one of the more recognisable faces at a time when business was real good. Whether that's done to the fact that she was one of 2 or 3 women around is by-the-by. Michelle McCool should barely be on this list, when you factor in people like Victoria. Her and Kelly Kelly should be lucky to make the 20s.

Sable sold a playboy and severed her ties with the WWF when she started publicly saying she was on the same level of Austin and Rock. She wasn't bringing in no "ton of money". LMAO. She had one promoted Playboy that sold well but she never sold PPVs or meant anything to core ratings. Ever. Not once. By 1999, her reactions were getting embarassing during her weird heel run where she barely wrestled and did the titan tron promos avoding competition. LOL@DX sold merchandise big time 1998 but that was it. They were never a factor on the ratings scale or especially buyrates..Degeneration In Your House is one of the lowest bought PPVs in WWF history. As always, Michaels tanked pretty much everything he touched.

That DX PPV preceded the WWF's zenith ... it was Austin who made the WWF the dominant wrestling company in North America but he had solid backup from DX, Sable and others. I'm not talking about 1999 here, I'm talking about late-1997 to 1998. By 1999, Sable was on the downswing but at her peak, she was one of the WWF's major marketing tools, the sexy face of the organisation. There's no question over her being one of the WWF's most popular performers at her peak. Like you said, her Playboy issue sold well and I'd like to see you prove that she didn't bring any ratings to the WWF whatsoever.
DX sold merchandise by the bucketload in 1998 ... you shot yourself in the foot there.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyCtAxBEklkAnd when DX was pushed as a top act, they tanked. Every singe time. Even with the reunion tours since 2006, HHH and Michaels almost started crying at Summerslam 2006 when Hogan's reaction MURDERED the DX pop. Utter hilarity.

So? Nobody's claiming they were THE top act, just that they helped the WWF's popularity. And they did, although more after Michaels left and Trips took over as top dog IMO ... not only that, but the NAO were the most popular act in DX, not Triple H or X-Pac.
Oh, and these numbers that don't lie ... what are they? I want a segment-by-segment Nielsen ratings breakdown of 'Raw is War' throughout 1997-98 to show how tiny a star Sable was.

The Undertaker helped with their popularity..Godfather was massively over.....Scotty 2 Hotty and Rikishi were very over....are they getting this one of a kind credit like DX is getting? And now Sable is apart of that mix? LOL.
LMAO@"I want". Doesn't matter what you want but you damn well that DX didn't create the turnaround that Austin did the heavy lifting for. DX got turned on at Summerslam 98 for the Nation of Domination.
New Age Outlaws were popular in 1998 but after that, they were nobodies. They got pushed hard in several outlets but they were nobodies by mid 99 when the whole "We have to make Cripple H a maineventer" started. I remember Road Dogg did his little mic act before his match with the Corporate Champ and the Rock got on the mic and the crowd did the singalong with the Rock word for word and Road Dogg looked sick to his stomach. Fucking hilarious.

I can tell you for a fact that Sable was ridiculously popular in 97-98, because I've been transferring all my PPVs over from tape to DVD the last few weeks. Sable chants break out whenever she shows up, even in Canada during the Team USA/Team Canada match at Survivor Series.
That woman was RE-FUCKING-DICUOUSLY popular back then, but as was said died out towards the end of 98 going into 99, and yet she still made the issue of Playboy she was in the highest seller of that issue ever up to that point (for all I know, it may still be).

Nothing to one like you but you are a outright liar and self revisionist of facts. Sable is no Austin/Rock level draw. Vince McMahon would do ANYTHING to keep doing business with her if she was anything close to that great. But she's not...hell, even when Trish returns these days, she gets pity pops. Sable? You got to be kidding me....1998 was the only year she counted with fans. Period. That's some Goldberg $hit except Goldberg actually DID MAKE a ton of money for WCW.

so, basically....she's not an Austin/Rock level draw Nick? Is that what you're saying? That she was a big draw but NOT on their level? I don't know man, you should have been more clear on all this.

Trolling. hah.
I know for a fact that several segments were the top-rated on some weeks of RAW, because it was big news at the time (back when people actually watched quarter-hours of the show because it was still neck-and-neck with Nitro sometimes). I recall some MuscleMag bullshit rag was whining about Nicole Bass' firing because 'her segments were the top-rated some weeks' (ignoring the fact that SABLE was also a part of those segments). It was obvious her sex-themed segments were popular, because she kept dominating more and more of the show, and her head kept getting bigger & bigger.
Were people buying tickets to go see her? Unquestionably. It's of course impossible to tell how many without a survey of every person at every show, but as Sick Nick said, she was one of the top five faces of the organization at one point, and that is BIG money importance.
During Sable's peak, I'd say the order of importance to the company was something like: 1) Austin 2) Rock, McMahon 3) Foley, Undertaker, Sable 4) DeGeneration-X (HHH, X-Pac, Outlaws)
Losing any one of those would've been a big deal, which is why the company worked so hard to keep Sable. It wasn't until she was essentially impossible to deal with (and likely getting hazed at the same time for her attitude) that things completely fell apart. It's also not to say that Sable was great- she was bad at literally every aspect of wrestling but looking hot, and arguably they could've gone with any pair of tits and had the same luck, as long as she was willing to show 'em like Sable was. I often wonder what history would look like if Sunny hadn't been a drug addict, or they'd pushed Terri or Debra as the Main Chick. There were rumors of them giving Debra the God Push at the time, but it ended up going to Chyna once she'd surgeried up (and herself become as important to the company as Sable had been).

@ HJ: Yeah, I need to quit posting in tongues. I really should learn to spell out my thoughts for the mentally-limp people out there
@ Jab: Agreed about Sunny. Considering how much of a rut the WWF was in at the time, she was STAGGERINGLY popular ... the most downloaded celebrity at AOL.com or something at one time, as WWF kept reminding us. She'd have been ungodly popular in the Attitude era if she hadn't veered off the rails. I don't think she did herself any favours by butting heads with Rena. Debra was heavily pushed but ultimately she was just a big pair of tits - she had no charisma, couldn't cut a promo for toffee and didn't even look good facially. She was just too old, sad as it is to say that. Debra was also no athlete - limited as she was, Sable was at least surprisingly strong and agile.
