yeah, it counts. as for the Wicker Man.....damn i wanted to like that movie....it was offensive to just about everyone and has Christoper Lee.....but all the singing got to me. i thought it was gonna break out into a full blown musical at one point |

That's part of its appeal, and part of what makes it creepy. It also enrages my father-in-law, who is a diehard folk fan and believes 'The Wicker Man' soiled the good name of folk. Besides, corn rigs are bonny. |

Never saw the original, but the Nic Cage version of Wicker Man is HILARIOUS. When he starts WTFPWNING the women-folk left and right with his kung-fu skills is fantastic, but man, when he starts getting fucked up at the end ("Ohhhh...the BEEES! ARRRGHLSKHGSDLG!!!") it turns into full-blown comedy GOLD.

Seriously, watch the original. I haven't seen the remake but I gather it sucks. The original is viewed as a classic of the horror genre, and probably the best British horror movie ever made, including all the Hammer stuff. |
