Firstly that chick is NOT a shifter. She's a Maenad... the Naked Lady with the Big Fuckin Pig as Tara put it. I imagine that her relationship with Sam is bad since he A) owns a bar and B) is a shifter. In the book its stated that since people stopped worshipping their god Bacchus, maenads take power from sex and drunken violence. She and Sam get along fine in the book which is stupid since Maryann uses Sookie to send a message to Eric... by almost killing her. Sam's explanation is Well gee Sook, sorry she fucked you up, but we're all God's Beautiful Creatures or some such bullshit.
Yes that WAS Lafayette's foot hanging out the car. I'm guessing that his death is gonna be tied to that twofaced senator on the show. The way it was written was that he went to these underground sex parties and he threatened to run his mouth about who was going. Eggs was one of them, and the coroner was another participent. I have a feeling he's gonna be a party goer as well. The dumped poor Lafayette in Andy's car because, well Andy's an asshole. And it was unlocked.

I'm gonna miss LaFayette. He was one of the coolest characters on that show. Much better than the book version, who was little more than a extra, a red-shirt whose death has no emotional impact. In the show it's the opposite, LaFayette is so well developed that him dying diminishes the show.
